Simply put, Robert, when you have short interest of a company at 50% with an upcoming doubling of their quarterly dividend and a tiny float, you have a massive room to the upside. Look at the ownership of this thing. Institutional ownership at 125%?!?!? Are you kidding me? These are long term holders of this equity and they are not going to give up their shares easily. Look what happened today......5% move up on less than average volume. Shorts who are currently in this are going to get HAMMERED.
Long term, I probably agree with you. In 10 years, Redbox will probably no longer be around.....but in the short term all signs point higher.
What an incredible investment opportunity in OUTR right now. The recent announcement of a doubling of the dividend, and talk of a sale means shorts are going to be ready to jump ship in droves before the next ex-dividend date in early June. Shorts will not want to pay out a 6.5% annualized dividend.......Currently OUTR has almost 50% short interest which would take about 12 days to cover. I'm loading up June calls as we speak.
