If they only could move GTA and RDR to the 2 year model like EA with BF and MOH they would have something.

Besides sports games what is their lineup after GTA V for the next gen?

Looks like NJ is going to be the third state to legalize it.

Now look at GME's $10m investment in mobile gaming. They hire Panayoti Haritatos to lead an in house development team. Haritatos has a pretty impressive resume working with Activision, founded his own mobile gaming company Urbansquall, and most recently worked as GM of Zynga.

With Zynga looking to capitalize on online gambling it looks like GME may be stealing some talent to start its own online gambling division.

    Sentiment: Hold

So BI was delayed than delayed again. Whats stopping GTA V from being delayed again?

September is the worse possible date this game could be released. It will have to compete with the next gen and the strong holiday lineup. (EA is going with BF 4 this year) GTA V will also be over shadowed by the hype of the next gen. It is already happening right now with the PS 4 news. This game will not get the hype or attention to sell 20m it will be more like 14-17m.

This late release will affect the amount of DLC sold as ppl switch over to the next gen. GTA V will not have a year of high DLC attach rates and no opportunity to add a GTA V.5 ie Ballad of Gay Tony. No one will want to buy a GOTY edition for a PS 3 or Xbox a year to two years into the life of PS 4 or XBOX 720. TTWO will have to port this game over to the next gen which will result in increased costs and more chances of bugs. And if they release DLC within the first month it will be met with adverse reaction from gamers ala Mass Effect 3. DLC for GTA V is lose, lose.

Also, no one has mentioned EA's #$%$ packaged console numbers. TTWO is the most reliant company on packaged console sales as they are not as diversified with PC and mobile as EA and ATVI. TTWO is not immune to the string of #$%$ console numbers. We will see them Feb 5.

Once again the tail is wagging the dog as R* thinks they are making a work of art and don't care about the money and more importantly the investors. This company is continually mismanaged and does not care about the investor.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

Yeah except atvi gets paid monthly off wow.

The next gen wont eat into gta v. Sony has announced a date where they will announce another date for their ps 4. And already gta v release date is old news and over shadowed on the blogs.

Nothing new here. GME has been at 0 to -2% store growth for the last two years. They should be leveraging their digital properties: Impulse, Kongregate, and Spawn Labs.

The whole industry has been pretty quite. Should be a very interesting second half of the year with E 3.

TTWOs jump in 2008 was because of EA's buyout bid not GTA V.

Have you looked at EA's mkt cap or any other in the industry 2008 to now. No one from the industry is going to buy out this company. If you think PE firms are coming your crazy. Look at this industry compared to others.

To get GTA V to do 20m + your gonna need everyone to buy the game, kiddies included. Politicians are gonna make ppl double think about buying this game.

Whens the last time this company has put together 3 consecutive quarters of positive earnings? Now your buying THQ wrestling for $72 m. Those 3 qs arent coming anytime soon.

If you want to buy a company on hopes of buy outs and one product that is released every 5 years. Go for it.

1 Bioshock Infinite has had a mass departure of talent, at all levels, leave throughout production. You don’t think they know something? The game has had delay after delay. No video game has ever been good when there are constant delays. And no one is worried? Can anyone say Duke Nukem.

2 Now I see people throwing around numbers like 25-30 m + for GTA V. Are you kidding me? This game has no co op mode and does not have an engaging multiplayer. The rules have changed if you want to beat COD you have to have an outstanding story, multiplayer, and co op. The map is huge and they are having a new switching characters mode. There is going to be a ton of bugs and glitches. This game is being released too late in the cycle and will have to compete with next gen games. Games now do not have a long life when considering sales. There is about a two month window and than the next big thing comes along. This time it will be the next gen with a whole slate of games that look better and play better thanks to the next gen.

3 The cultural climate for an open world crime game is horrible. You have each political party condemning violent video games. You now have the second attempt by a state to tax violent video games. 89% of parents nationwide say violence in today's video games is a problem ( see Common Sense Media). You can argue all you want about violence in games but sometimes perception becomes reality. Wait to teachers start caring about the type of companies held in their pension funds.

Everyone on the street knows the time window for GTA V. There are some big boys that own this stock. They will have the info before you and be out. While the small guy holds the bag.
