TheFlyonthewall reporting that Carl Icahn is taking a position in GME. Makes sense he knows the industry just had a position in TTWO and GME is undervalued at these levels. No debt lots of cash. If true get ready for special dividend.
I agree 100% that this should be used for older games 5 years out. So than why is ttwo putting games like BSI, BL 2, and xcom on ps plus. Now that ps plus is pretty much required for ps 4 many PS 4 first adopters still have ps 3s. IMO ttwo is losing sales on those games. If they are putting the aforementioned games on ps plus what is stopping them from continuing this practice when playstation now comes in the summer.
Sony purchased gaikai a streaming video game company back into 2012 and today annouced plans to start streaming a catalog of games by this summer. I think this is extremely negative for 3 rd party publishers. I do think publishers may be willing to put older games on the service. You take older games like Bully that are available for dl for 9.99 and put it into a subscription model and I dont think ttwo will be capturing the full revenue potential of its catalog of older games ie PS 2.. Also you have BSI now availabe for free for PS plus members. How does this make any sense. Is this the new normal 1 year sales tail and than ship it off to a shared revenue subscription model. VG as a service IMO are only good for the hardware companies and not publishers.
