Sounds right to me. I just sold some $40 and $35 puts (August expiration) for some nice premiums and will be happy to own AFAM at sub-$40 price for the next ride back up. GLTA
Very bullish comments by Boeing this morning: They increase their forecast for aircraft demand, are forecasting that the number of aircraft will DOUBLE in twenty years...and that global airlines will need more than 38K new planes. Hoping DCO is the beneficiary of some (much) of this activity. Things looking very bright for companies in the aero space. GLTA
Some very bullish comments by Boeing this morning, as they increase their forecast for aircraft demand. They are forecasting that the number of aircraft will DOUBLE in twenty years...and that global airlines will need more than 38K new planes. I had been expecting that the aerospace sector might peak late next year, but will have to rethink that and maybe stretch out the good times for a few years. Looking forward to seeing ATRO in the '80s! GLTA
maybe, but something tells me your motive in posting is not to help people save money.
Well, this certainly worked out better (at least so far!) than I might have expected. Nice comeback after the dip following the earnings report, and already back over $70. Kudos to those that bought the dip, as well as longs who didn't get scared away. Great sector, great company. GLTA
Added a few more shares at $64, and pleased to see this now moving up a bit. Looking for a close today around $68, and then back over $70 within next 60 days. I know this is shameless cheerleading, but expect $80+ later this year with good (better) earnings reports next two quarters. GLTA
Buy on the dip! Stock price will likely get hammered at the open...I'm long and will hold. and if the dip is significant enough, will add shares. Expect we'll see $66 today, and if we get as low as $64, I'll be buying. GLTA
I'm more concerned about revenue (or any disappointment in revenue guidance) than an eps miss. Seems the market is often willing to forgive missing eps by a few cents as long as prospects for growing revenues are still intact. ATRO P/E quite a bit higher than peers, but then so is RoE and growth rate, so methinks deserved. But agree, not for the faint of heart, as there is downside risk to the 50's. Not much longer to wait now, as results will be reported before market open on May 12. GLTA
Saw a clip this morning on CNBC showing Honda's small business jet in Tokyo, the HondaJet. Apparently they've got orders for this 6-seater, which sells for about $4.5M. Cute little thing. Just wondering if anyone knows if ATRO has (or could have) any involvement here. GLTA
Nice move up today, and once again ATRO is close to piercing 52-week high. Boeing dropped a bit today after reporting earnings, but report included strong positives for the aero sector. Boeing CEO "expects airline fleet growth and replacement demand to drive the need for nearly 37,000 Commercial aircraft over the next 20 years."
Revenues for their commercial airline business increased 21% for the quarter. Hoping for $0.80 eps next quarter and $3.20 for the year...and ATRO trading in the 80's soon. GLTA
Love the wine...but not so much the recent price movement. Great zins (e.g., Rattler) and GPS is a wonderful blend (a bit different each year). And a lovely place to visit! Now just need to get the stock price back over $4!
