You may be right, but I believe the impact will be so slow that initiating a strong play in these industries might be disappointing, e.g., several years to materialize.
The right to impose an internet tax is not being "given" to anyone. What is being proposed has been the plan since 1998 and will have ZERO impact on any ability to impose an internet tax.
Why don't you read the facts for once in your life and quite wallowing publicly in ignorance?

Jobs: Obama Beats Bush
Now that we have figures for the full four years of Obama’s first term, a surprising fact emerges: The economy added more jobs during four years under Obama than it did in the entire eight years under Bush.
By the time of Obama’s second inaugural in January, the economy had added a net total of 1,208,000 jobs since he was first sworn in four years earlier, according to current figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That beats George W. Bush’s eight-year total of 1,083,000.
And so far, Obama is extending his lead over Bush. Counting jobs added in February, his total now stands at a net gain of over 1.5 million jobs.
Neither president’s record is good by historical standards, especially when compared with the 22.8 million jobs added during Bill Clinton’s eight years in office. The Bush years were hampered by a recession and prolonged job slump that began within weeks of his taking office in 2001, and later by the devastating recession of 2007-2009.
"if they can find a religious leader who will marry them,"
You you believe only religious people can get married and want to get rid of the right to be married by a judge?
Or is this just another instance of you nothing thinking things through before spouting off?
Such ignorance is painful to observe.
Your are arguing against yourself. In mean really, just use a little logic for once in your miserable life.
The US is planning to move the administrative function of assigning unique IP Addresses to an international agency,
How much has having that administrative function in the U.S. prevented Turkey and China from controlling their own internet?
How much do you think having that administrative function in an International agency will affect the US's control over it's internet?
You must have the IQ of a gnat.
He most certainly does have a healthcare plan. You may fairly argue whether or not it is good or bad, but it is a plan. The Republicans have no plan.
The unintended consequence is that the remaining Ukraine will be driven to embrace the West for protection. Unless Putin shortly invades the rest of the Ukraine, in the long-run the cost of taking the Crimea may be having a staunch Western ally right on his border. In the long-run this may play-out as a short-term gain, but a BIG long-term mistake on Putin's part... But the West will have to move slowly and deliberately on this, as if Putin figures this out too soon he will invade all of the Ukraine.
Up until 1954 the Crimea was part of Russia, leaving the Ukraine a divided nation. Putin's move may result in a smaller, but more united Ukraine. Again, not a good long term result for Russia.
It will be interesting to look back at this in 15-20 years....
It was said in another thread that ""Ignorance is the mark of a Democrat."
I think anyone reading this thread will certainly attribute that particular trait to Republicans!
Qaydan still ignores the question as to what will be next in his domino theory of internet control takeover!
The porous border has existed for so many years for one reason -- the influence of big businesses, which needed illegal immigrants to work in the meat packing plants, produce fields, and do other jobs for peanuts. Money from companies like Iowa Beef Packers and others found it's way into politicians' pockets and the border remained porous for decades.
In 1986 I voted for the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration bill because we were told it would solve the problem of massive illegal immigration. In his diaries, President Ronald Reagan said he was going to sign the bill because we had to regain control of our borders. The Simpson-Mazzoli bill contained three promises:
The government would make a concerted effort to control the borders.
An effective employer verification program would ensure that only legal workers were hired.
One-time amnesty would be granted for people illegally in the United States.
All three promises were broken. The government has made no serious effort to control our borders. Employers continue knowingly to hire illegal immigrants without any real fear of punishment.

"they have spent their entire lives being sheltered by America's power in the world."
You mean like Daniel Inouye, Max Cleland, Wes Clark, and Chuck Rangel?
I don't bad-mouth Christianity; however, I do bad-mouth false Christians. Which, by they way, is something Jesus also did.
Mark 10:21-22 Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.
The Republican party core is beginning to see how the Teabaggers have been causing many of their losses and have begun to ignore them. This is a trend which will continue undoubtedly.
Many Republicans are actually quite smart and they are relaizing they must abandon to radical righwingers, just as the Democratic party abandoned the radical left-wingers in the mid-1970's.
It the natural dynamic of a two-party system. As the Republicans move towards the center, they will win more elections.
"with control by u.n. Obama can order our internet closed anytime!!!!!!!!"
I cannot even begin to describe the complete ignorance show by the above comment.
Better to have them wasting their time here than doing anything that would actually make a difference.
I suspect message boards are a plot of the liberals to keep the conservatives busy wasting their time.
" If he is worried, then maybe all Americans should be concerned about their privacy "
Somehow I expect that they have more interest in what Carter has to say to foreign leaders, than what you have to say to anybody.
You have no worries...
