It may not be shorts as much as hedge funds under contract to accumulate for institutes who want to delay their disclosure of accumulation.

Good observation. China has spooked the stock market forcing people to DD and find better American companies. This will lead to greater retail ownership and tutes will have to pay up to accumulate.

MDs can only prescribe for BMIs over 30. (27 with co-morbid conditions.) The predominance of people in this condition are on Medicare or Medicaid influenced health care plans who will not pay a reimbursement. Until that changes, many obese people will remain obese OR pretend they are losing weight with ineffectual means. Wealthy obese people can get their doctor to prescribe just on the asking and then don't mind the $75 max cash pay per month. That's cheaper than paying for Weight Watchers. If they are rich enough, they do both and boast to each other in the WW meetings as to how wonderful they feel and look.

We need to get our our Senators to have a hearing from Medicare leadership as to why obesity weight loss medicines are not covered. When/if that happens then MDs will find people who want to take Belviq even in deference to C and Q. Obesity has been lebeled the No 1 health care problem and Medicare and Medicaid turn their heads. This means Medicare Advantage and GAP plans also turn their heads.

    How dumb is that??

Meanwhile other indications for Belviq are reaching the fore front and MAYBE plans will pay for smoking cessation or other addictive drugs.

People have to be taught by their doctor that Belviq is a way to a life style change...that being they will be happy while eating less than they used to. The 30-day mentality will not work because they think all I have to do is lose a few pounds then I can go back to doing what I did before....overeat.

These drugs....all three of them B, Q, and C have to be reimbursed by Medicare for the marketing situation to change. Rich obese people don't mind $75/mo out of pocket for cash sales at the pharmacy. Poor obese people who are far more in number want a low co-pay. They are not desperate enough. If they reach the point where by-pass surgery is indicated, the surgeon should put them on a drug for 90 days even before considering the surgery. There are situations where the surgery is essential, but even then taking Belviq will reduce the hunger pangs so that they don't try to eat continuously with a small stomach.

Contact your Senator for a investigation of why Medicare and Medicaid do not cover obesity weight loss ASAP.

Sharon...change your password and try again. Also helps to compose your messages as a notebook file and post that with cut and paster also. See my recent posts on this secure way to create and place passwords. It is an extra layer of security..TO NOT USE KEYSTROKES FOR MESSAGES, IF YOU FEEL YOU'RE COMPUTER IS BEING MONITORED.

If you think messages are beling blocked, change your log in password by cut and paste form a spreadsheet where you save them. Message board hackers cannot determine characters from a cut and paste procedure.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING is for concerned people to contact their federal senator and ask for a hearing of Medicare officials to answer why obesity weight loss drugs are not covered for reimembursement. This then gives Medicare advantage and GAP plans the excuse to not cover them either.

If the obesity is the NUMBER ONE health care problem in America, they should be asked in public forum, "Why not?"

If you find your messages are deleted right after you submit them, changes are you're being monitored by email hackers, perhaps better termed message board hackers. Yahoo does NOT delete messages unless someone has turned you in for defamation of their name or used extremely obscene language. If that happens, they will contact you first to discuss the issue. This is contrary to the generally expressed opinions....often by hackers to make it seem Yahoo is monitoring the board. They don't have enough staff to do this even if the FCC would allow it.

Therefore, deleting without your keystrokes to do so is an indication that you need to change your password with cut and paste rather than key strokes.

MB hackers do not try to infect every MB, but ARNA is prime attack territory and therefore, longs who want to post messages should change their password fairly frequently.

You're absolutely right. Longs have abandoned this board. At least since I saved new password, I have not be deleted because email hackers have not figured out my new password. Here is how you should securely set any password if you think your keystrokes are being monitored. Create the password o\in a notepad file. Save it on your computer for future reference in a folder you name passwords. Then open your compromised file from a different computer, such as at the locat library and copy and paste the password you created. I have two computers, one which I use most frequently for emailing and MBs, etc. The other is my work computer and I never connect to MBs through it. When you cut and paste a password, they cannot determine what it is. The email hackers can only monitor you key strokes, as long as they have determined your sign on password. I was advised by Yahoo technical help that if I did not create a new password and you are logged on long enougth, they can determine other keystrokes you use to log onto to other sites, such as your bank. If your bank address is saved as a saved address that you just click on to open in your browser, they will not know what bank you are going to, but if you type in your bank address, they will know.

Scary world we have to crawl around with such practises.

Chronically obese people also tend to be on Medicare or Medicaid health plans which do not reimburse them for the drug. The only way to change this is to get the Senate to have a hearing from the Medicare leaders about why they don't include it as a co-pay drug. Without Medicare coverage, Medicate Advantage plans by Blue Cross "say" they cannot cover it. A super coverup of just plan logic. Also if coverage is granted at some point, ARNA stockholders have to know that Qysmia, and Contrave would also be covered....BUT then doctors would be free to choose the drug THEY think is most helpful with minimum side effects.

Action plan we need to take: contact your US Senators to hold a publically broadcast (CSpan) inquiry of the Medicare administrators.

I believe and have expressed my opinion earlier, that hedge funds are accumulating secret shares for a big pharma who wants to have enough shares to force the hand of the BOD to sellout to THAT pharma. They have to get the shares that retail longs are doggedly holding in order to make this strategy works. Mutual funds and investment companies are not selling...they need to convince retails. IMO

All part of my HBO movie plot that will be a blockbuster film some day.

A buyout may include shares of the buyout company that might change the picture dramatically. It has to be something that would appeal to shareholders or it won't float. A buyout would not be to liquidate the facility, but to market the drugs without any obligation to Eisai. Eisai would be given first opportunity to meet or exceed the buyout terms, or the buyout would proceed, all to the benefit of current stockholders.

I, too, am a trapped $8.75 ave stockholder since I bought on dips when it was high, so I am hanging on for many of the same reasons as you.

I mentioned to Yahoo customer service a couple of weeks ago, that if they cannot control this board properly...IT WILL BE TOAST.
