Ha, just the the Captain of the Titanic said "smooth sailing ahead, well on the way to The States!"
Thanks for the report its good for those of us that could not attend. Looking forward to more detail, thanks again.
So CMG closes 43 stores for an e-Coli incident (3rd health issue in as many months) and is down 1-2% overall, whereas RAVE continues to grow and open stores and gets hit for over 10% in the same period... BS...
lack of volume is allowing this to drift lower. Concern is the previous quote from Geir after last Q, that Q1 will be flat is going to hurt. I recall the stock took a hit for that quote, but will probably take another hit when its evidient in the earnings. Also concerning is the slow pace of openings. I think this gets painful for longs before it gets better.
Are you serioulsy basing your opinion on "all Chicago locations" doing poorly by the reviews on Yelp? Its a wonder you don't run a hedge fund with those research skills.
Its there, I read it a couple days ago..... do a search on Q4 Pie Five on the Fast Casual website.... that was Randy's comments right after detail Q4 comps...
Becasue I think RAVE has a great product in Pie Five and think its going to be a big player in this space (eventually). I do beleive in Leadership, my point was it shouldn't take this long to compile Fisal Year End results. This company can't continue to get by on deal announcements and expected store openings anymore, they need to start showing some results of their strategic plans. Without this, interest will wane and will keep drifting lower on weak volume.
For the first time ever at P5, I didn't create my own and also tried the Magic Mushroom. Got to admit it was pretty darn good! Might try it again this week except will ask for extra carmalized onions.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I'm a steady customer at one (Montgomery) Fort Worth location, and occasionally up in Keller and Southlake. Definitely Ft Worth location has been doing VERY well this summer, most days ( even early in the week) has steadily been lined up to the door which by historical means is pretty busy. New Keller location is picking up especially at dinner because it's suburban. Lots of parents bringin kids because they can do it themselves and nobody argues. Southlake is just always busy. If Pizza Inn can show continued improvement along with the growth of P5, we are back in mid teens.
