I hear ya...and thanks for pointing out the RS again. But even my simple mind has to accept that by pulling the FTD value out, maybe a sub $2 value is appropriate. Looking at my account, the value of my FTD stake is slightly more than 3 times the value of my UNTD. So it all still sort of tracks in my head.
Am I trying to convince myself that holding is correct? Seems that way. Fortunately, the spin-off left me with not much on the FTD line. *scratches head*
And I can't agrue against that position either. HART was/is a money pit. Super potential to change medicine as we know it, but a money pit right now.
Actually, that's a good question. HBIO "should" show some profitability next year as the Money Sponge that is/was HART is removed from the equation. Don't get me wrong, I own HART and HBIO and am fairly pleased with the combo so far. I held through the split. My expectations? HBIO shows decent profit (not big) come the Springtime. HART kind of meanders until some good news posts for a sharp uptick. question is, will that uptick be a flash or a new plateau?
wow, once the allure wore off, nobody really trades this thing now. As of about 1:30 today, we are looking at only 10K shares traded.
Then again, let these guys make one or two good announcements...Boom, $7+
any reasonable guesses as to where the rump UNTD will wind up?
I obviously held on but kind of doubt myself now. Sort of figured a clean set of books would give me a better feel for the company but it's not that time yet.
Actually, that's a pretty accurate headline...well, the second part at least.
What just happened? Happy to see it but I don't have anything to justify the big jump today thus far.
Comments? Aside from just agreeing with the subject line of course.
big difference between a Trachea and a Lung...actually, big doesn't do the difference justice. Building a living, functioning Lung is waaaay out there. A kidney, which is actually a filtering system "might" be doable.
Still, cutting edge stuff here.
Still not sure what I own but content to keep them for a bit. Thinking I might keep this one through the holidays to see the results. Did read an article about how local flower folks rather dislike the internet orders but feel they have to take them to keep their name recognition high.
Sorry. I can't let that equation go unchallenged. Why you start with 2 water molecules is lost to me but...
Your two H2O molecules, under electrolysis, will result in FOUR "H" molecules and TWO "O" molecules...both these molecules will tend towards their most stable compound H2 and O2.. The end result of your equation is TWO H2 and ONE O2 molecule...assuming a perfect world of course. Yeah, Algebra was an Arab plot to confuse the Western Zionist Great Satan but dang, it's right every time.
And Hydrogen is light? Let's not even go there. A pound is a pound, the world around.
Nerds of the World, Unite!
Bought in at the day's high. Not the first time I've accomplished that feat and sadly, probably not the last.
I will typically sell pretty close to a day's low as well. As I said before, sometimes ya just gotta laugh.
Stops....emotional topic there for some. I am no trader so I see this AMD as an investment and I am moderately tolerant of temporary loss. A drop to 3 even won't send me to the exits right now. That said, I've used a 10% stop on a stock that had doubled and was reaching for more. My stop was triggered and I walked with a roughly 115% across 14 months...I know, genius, right? Well, my stop sold ino a small, swift, but sharp correction and I walked away, congratulating myself on taking money off the table. In the 9 months since I sold, the stock has doubled yet again. I "missed" an awful lot of profit...still stings a bit. I'm not agonizing over it but Iit does continue to bounce around in my brain.
Will I set a stop? Probably not. Will I monitor this stock for movements, trends, and whatnot? Oh yes. Will I sell? sheesh, that's a hard one for me...buying is easy, selling is hard.
Just bought in...3.46...and immediately down to the 3.45-44 range. How many of you can accurately hit a day high? Dang near every time?
Sometimes, ya just gotta laugh...
USAA member for over 30 years. Go pound sand. Super coverage at super rates. Have Home, Life, and Auto (three cars right now...teenaged boy, Yikes!) Maybe you shouldn't have smashed up those three Chevy's while drinking...
I won't leave them, the service has ALWAYS been top-notch, and 2 of my 4 kids are now members in their own right.
Am curious though, just what the heck is an "Eco-Centric" General? Really? A General Officer who is Eco-Anything can only exist in the febrile mind of the utter whack-jobs. The Generals that I knew all wanted to kill Russians or the Chinese but had to settle for Iraq and Afghanistan. Hey, old Marine Corps here, we tend towards direct action. Are you trying to play off Eccentric?
Insight? No. Unqualified Opinion? Sure!
To me, I sort of see this as a free stock. I know, it removed some value from HBIO but not that much. With HART out and on it's own, HBIO will show a profit very soon and that should start reflecting in the stock price. HART, on the other hand, has zero profits to point to and was a rather large drag on finances. That said, quite the little research engine. And I mean "amazing" by that. Spooky Sci-Fi stuff. Some of the medical stuff they are doing is cutting edge...honestly, maybe a little too cutting edge for the US medical establishment right now? Hence, the overseas trials and tests.
Funny stock and company...has the potential to change medical care as we know it...and has the potential to go bankrupt at a rather abrupt instant. Kind of a Yin-Yang thingie.
I'm expecting HART to be absorbed by someone in the fairly near term. Hoping for a double in the mean time if any of their actions prove successful.
Hate one liners....
Why should one accumulate? What is it about HBIO that should pull money out of your wallet? Are they making money hand over fist? Are they expecting a sudden increase in Sales? Or is it that the Funding Sponge that was HART has left the building and now HBIO can be judged on it's merits alone...and is that a good or bad thing?
Or are you stuck with a few shares that you want to dump over 4.50?
