What are you talking about. Google cost $10 a month. Most young people and students want free or very cheap. They will stick with P, but P will make no money since it's free. So stock is overvalued any way you look at it. P to $8 a share.
P is free Goog is $10. I'll take P. Will actually I prefer Spotify. Goog picks the dumbest songs and plays them way to much even though I haven't liked them. P sucks.
Google doesn't need buy P, they just reinvented it. P would add nothing. Someone who doesn't have the 100's of millions of users google has or music site could however use P. someone like Microsoft.
It cost $10 bucks a month. Most of Pandora's listeners want it for free or a few bucks!! This will help P big time. They can slowly start to charge, say $5 a month, and it will be a great deal compared to Google's $10 bucks. Yes Google has 10 times more songs, but most people will take fewer songs for half the price or for free if they keep it that way. Spotify is free too so I don't know how Google thinks anyone will buy their service. I think I want to short Google. Apple on the other hand could charge a few bucks and people will go with it because they already use itunes. I was negative on P but not am more positive. I see they can charge a monthly fee and just have it be lower, thus capturing/keeping lots of customers. THAT SAID THE STOCK IS STILL OVERVALUED BY ABOUT 40%. HAD GOOGLE BEEN FREE PANDORA WOULD BE WORTH ALMOST NOTHING.
Maybe they are buying now!
Sounds like a decent idea, but why would they pay more than 3 billion?
Well 100 shares just trades. Still I'm nervous. I am long but have been burned on other China deals. There are plenty of great ethical Chinese business folks but also way too many unethical CEO's and it seems like the government lets them get away with it as long as the shareholders are Americans.
No trading so far today. Anyone have any idea why there are no trades. I'm afraid I've been burned again on another one of these China Frauds. Damn Communists immoral basterds.
I don't think that will happen right away, but hey, they had no earnings. They are forecasting next quarter's loss to be greater. They don't see a point in the future with income unless the cost structure changes. They developed their business model knowing the cost structure, hoping it would change. Not a good way to do it. All the competitors choose a model that will have lower cost and will end in profit. Pandora's best hope it to direct their legions of users to some new product that they can make money on. It is possible since they have so many users. However that is pure speculation. Right now they are broken and the stock should be dropping to single digits to incorporate the risk of total failure.
what about all these tens of thousands of units that are sitting empty, too expensive for the population to buy and built with debt? How will this affect XIN and CCCL?
