It's hard to track down since the MWE-MPLX merger but the capital expenditures for the MWE buildout was expected to be about $1.5 B per annum for the next 5 years (If I remember correctly). That's probably the main reason that MWE went looking for a deep pockets merger partner when energy prices collapsed. In addition MPLX has other capital needs going forward. When energy prices recover MPLX (with MWE hidden inside) will be cranking out massive distributions going forward.
The key word here is patience.

Do they have to pay back the money they received for being independent BOD members when they weren't and what fines do the BOD's have to pay to the SEC for fraud. Maybe they should also be barred for life by the SEC. Or should we just give them all more stock options so they can drag it out another few years. What a bunch of BS they all are.

No doubt about it . 3 to 5 years from now this will be much higher. How much higher? In a co-operating market this could be around $50 or higher.

That's assuming the $20 target you project is the top. I believe ETE will reach at least the $35 it traded at last year in the next couple of years or even more when energy prices stabilize. Don't be surprised if it reaches up towards $50 in the next 3 to 5 years with a distribution of about $2.50 to $3.00 a year. This is a huge money making operation in the process of being built at the present time The opportunity of ETE being available recently in the $4.00 area will be one of the major wealth creating opportunities of recent times.

ETE is almost at $12 in a short period of time. The smart money that took profits at 100% ($8.00) in not so smart facing a short term tax bill and seeing ETE go up another 100% in a few days after selling. ETE is very volatile lately in the short run. I believe in the long run , the less fiddling we do here will be greatly rewarded later.

I'm curious if you are in at $5.67 and you believe the value to be in the $20-$30 range why you wouldn't be buying at the current price to maximize your profits/

Finepilsner: You are still not happy. if that's true Why are you still here? Sell and take your loss Write it off against all the stocks you sell that you have huge gains in. In case you haven't noticed energy prices have collapsed in the past year Many companies have gone Bankrupt. Stop crying about $80 last June. You should have sold and given the IRS and State about $40 of each unit you owned and given up all the income received since then.
Here are the facts as I see them I received $6.20 per MWE unit about 15+ % in cash that money was deployed into other securities that is cranking out 10% and 12.5% which is being dripped into additional shares. My projected 2016 income is about 20% more than what I received in 2015 (And that's not counting the $6.20 per MWE unit from the merger) Also at the merger I received 109 MPLX units for each 100 MWE units, That's a 9% bonus. So what did I receive in total?

    1) $6.20 in cash--That was 1 1/2 years MWE income up front to cover the shortfall going forward
    2) A 9% MPLX unit bonus
    3) The opportunity to pick up additional MPLX units at firesale prices as low as $16 per unit if you had stopped bellyaching and put on the rose colored glasses and paid attention.

MPLX is still cheap today so you can still add to your holdings if you want to ---OR----
If you object to paying the IDR's to MPC--- Why don't you sell your MPLX units and buy MPC shares and then you will be collecting the IDR's and screwing the MPLX holders like you believe MPC is doing. There is always opportunity to make money. But bellyaching won't make you money.

    good luck

In case noone has noticed, the energy arena has been having difficulties the past year or so. A number of companies have filed bankruptcy. More will probably do so in the near future. The adjusted price of MPLX at the merger was $32.36. The current price is $32.17 and we have received a $0.50 distribution in Feb 2016 a total of $32.67 slightly ahead of the merger price. MPLX has retraced the huge selloff down to $16 in Jan to March. They just increased the distribution again so they are way ahead of many of their peers. Not exactly what we want but still making progress. Don't be surprised if MPLX gets close to $40 before year end with the 2016 distribution being raised quarter after quarter. Considering MPLX was at $16.53 on Feb 11, 2016, $40 or anywhere close to $40 by year end looks pretty good to me.

The price of ETE at the end of June means nothing to me. The distributions I receive in the next 2 to 5 years will be important to me.
Everyone has different goals. It appears yours are short term and capital appreciation oriented. I'm long term income growth oriented. If I am successful the ETE unit price will take care of itself and be a plus for me in addition to the income which is my primary concern.

There is no such thing as a "BEST PREDICTION" What you can only get are wild guesses that come from people's wild hopes. . So make sure you read them all until the end of June and then you will know whose wild guess was the BEST PREDICTION.

Lobster: If you want to make $1,000,000 buy 25,000 ETE now at $8 and in 4 or 5 years --if the world is still here-- ETE would probably be selling at $40 or $50. At $48 you will have your $1,000,000 profit. All you need is
    1)The money now
2)The courage to withstand the stress and pain over the next 4 or 5 years while you are watching and waiting.

    3) The market to reward ETE for their accomplishments.

    good luck

The merger is now closer to agreement than ever before. The only stumbling block might be regulatory. The lawsuits are for the tourists. Much too much at stake, to have a long legal battle to make the lawyers rich. When the preferred was announced KW said he wanted to offer it to all unitholders and WMB wouldn't permit it. The original deal said ETE and ETC would be equal after the merger. Now WMB says they object to the preferred because it wasn't offered to all the ETE and ETC holders.

They basically agree and at the same time this lets everyone out there- YOIU ME ETE unitholders and WMB shareholders know that there will be a 9 quarter distribution cut to finance the $8 for each WMB share.
