lisbonee...you still have your limit order in for 3.40 today? Bloomberg is predicting a build of 70 bcf...others are saying 90...you're thinking UGAZ will drop that much?
Tough to know where to jump in here, for sure. Traders have been having a field day with the intraday moves but I'm looking to buy and hold for more than a few days. Just sounds like something that used to be a pretty reliable vehicle for a seasonal hold, just got a whole lot less reliable.
Read this article on Bloomberg which made a very confusing statement regarding NG usage for this week compared to the 5 year average of the last 5 years. They're saying the build will be less this week, than the 5 year average? I find that hard to believe.
"Government data scheduled for release Thursday may show gas stockpiles rose by 70 billion cubic feet in the week ended Oct. 23, compared with the five-year average gain of 73 billion for the period, based on the median of 14 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Inventories totaled 3.814 trillion as of Oct. 16 and are on course to reach a record 4 trillion before winter heating demand kicks in, according to Bank of America Corp. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc."
Hard to believe I'm reading such a sane and thoughtful thread on the SPY board...wise words indeed, silver!
Dropped like a rock over the weekend...2.427 as I write this...Nov futures down .08....stayed out of UGAZ for awhile now as I wait for some kind of bottom to establish itself. Some are saying NG goes to 2.00. I'm starting to believe it.
Zinc is a well known immune system booster, as well. All of those preventative cold remedies all have zinc in them as the main ingredient
arthor...not claiming to be the smart one here by any stretch. I just often read how people are getting scr*wed by time decay, Credit Suisse etc on these ETFs. Same complaint on the TVIX board. I would actually like to know more about how futures pricing and contract rollovers affect UGAZ. I can see from the Henry Hub site, that Nov NG futures are priced at 2.363 currently. That's pretty much where NG is currently priced. What does this mean for the rollover on the 28th? I was really hoping that one could buy shrs of UGAZ and just hold them over the course of a 3 month period and pretty much make consistent $$$, but apparently it's not so simple.
Hey electro...just dropped in to say hi...it's been awhile. Hope you're doing well. Well...I took this opportunity today to buy some XIV...mostly in AHs. Must say though, it was a dandy finish for our beloved TVIX today.
Doh, not again, czar...it's you're...you are kidding...you're...not your...got it? He was asking for intelligent replies. Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine on these message boards:-)
If "you're" going to call someone an idiot, at least use correct English. Otherwise it's you that comes off looking like the idiot, sorry czar
Wouldn't go all in here, but not a bad starter price. This market is crazy and it's hard to anticipate direction, but if I'd had some powder on Friday, I would have bought some in AHs too
Probably a good buy down here imo. A lot more bad news out there coming down the pike, than good news. Big deal with the interest rate delay. That's actually a no vote of confidence in this economy.
Calm down now...remember YOU'RE STILL THE GEORGEOUS KING, no matter what happens.
No, it's not time...NG spot starting to drop...inventory report should be pretty high this week...wait for lower 7s
