Honeybun, you are just the best at providing the real news. Once this is public, she either grants the licenses or quits or goes to jail. Her pastor must be thrilled with this demonstration of hypocrisy. Well, that and his pending resignation for being on Ashley Madison....
Yeah, she and Rove are still waiting for the Ohio returns, too. Here's a clue for you imbeciles. no one, and I mean no one (except maybe Nate Silver) can predict the future. The fact that Powers may or may not be a Democrat does not provide her with prescience that the rest of us lack. Is this the best you can do?
I'll believe that she's serious about "Godl's law" when I see her living up to all of them named in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. If she had intercourse while on her period, she's going to that hot place.
"It hasn't hurt him much in the polls has it?"
Well, no, because they're only polling Republicans whose penchant for avoiding critical thought and bright-eyed observations is obvious. On the other hand, maybe you can account for the 75% of Republicans who AREN'T polling favorably for him. Every time a Republican wins a Cornistan caucus, they never get the nomination. The only thing new is the history you don't know.
The issue isn't about religious freedom, it's about her doing her job as either an elected or appointed official. Since she's chosen to not do that job, in violation of a court order, we're about to find out that secular government whups personal religious views pretty much every time. Anyone who saw her mealy-mouthed lawyer (or is that redundant?) evade the correct question "how far does her religious view extend in doing her job issuing marriage licenses?" will know what I'm talking about.
"So you don't carry homeowners insurance since there is no evidence it will ever burn down?"
Owning a home is optional and insurance isn't a guarantee that the home won't be burned or burgled, you imbecile. Since you can't identify where the voter fraud existed that was solved by the poll tax of photo ID, you're urinating into the breeze on this one.
No MBA program in the nation spends any time teaching its students about the vagaries of the stock market. Worse, they teach them even less about actually managing people instead of data. So, you're outed as a liar and a fraud. What school did you learn those in?
"Voter 'disenfranchisement', aka proving you are who you say you are."
Not sure who sambuca_sr is but you need to apologize to him for wasting an opportunity for an education. Since evidence of individual voter fraud is practically non-existent, what makes you think that the proof wasn't already in place? When one considers that 40% of the registered voters don't vote in presidential elections, for instance, and Republicans in Congress were largely elected on gerrymandering and low turnout, it's fair to say that if anyone's cheating, it's them.
Clownservative.....has a nice ring to it.
Big payday not coming....
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday denied $2 million in legal fees sought from the federal government by conservative lawyers who persuaded the U.S. Supreme Court in 2013 to strike down a key provision of the landmark Voting Rights Act.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit upheld a lower court's decision to reject the fee request, which was made to the government by lawyers representing Shelby County, Alabama. The three-judge panel said the fees provision applies only when the case advances the goals Congress wanted to promote. As the aim of the challenge was to narrow the scope of the law, not to enforce individual voting rights, no legal fees are available, the court found.
"Shelby County's lawsuit neither advanced Congress's purpose nor performed some service Congress needed help to accomplish. It defies common sense and ignores the structure and history of the act to think otherwise," Judge Thomas Griffith wrote on behalf of the court. In the United States, each side in a lawsuit pays its own attorneys' fees, but federal law allows individuals who win certain civil rights cases against the government to be reimbursed for their lawyers' fees.
"Barry's economy is dragging down the market"
How? Too many jobs being created? Interest rates and inflation too low? Deficits falling? Dollar strengthening? You might want to read the lead article in current Business Week about China. T-rump is a flaming idiot with respect to it, but that country's leadership is taking it right down the tubes. Time to sell some equities, then buy back. Oh, you don't have any? Figures.
Unfortunately, the sin of presumption works against a Catholic who sins on purpose with the intention of merely confessing the sin. Presumption may be defined as the condition of a soul that, because of a badly regulated reliance on God’s mercy and power, hopes for salvation without doing anything to deserve it, or for pardon of his sins without repenting of them.
The commandment "do not murder" has never been defined in the bible as including zygotes. As such, it can't be a sin. No one knows the heart and soul of Karen Santorum and you really need to avoid discussing the personal lives of people you don't know. You remember, judge not?
"You miss the point, as usual. Trump wants to unify."
Unification implies two disparate things that are brought together. What two disparate things is he unifying? Can't be women and Latinos, unless it's against him. It's not educated people and under-educated people, because only the latter will vote for him (assuming he hasn't dropped out). So, who or what is being unified?
"Trump flubbed that test as well, telling Bloomberg, “The Bible means a lot to me, but I don’t want to get into specifics.”
He was channeling his inner Peter Griffin, thinking "like that time I was boinking Marla while I was still married to Ivana." At least he's not proclaiming any Family Values, unlike the other losers Huckabee, et al. I prefer to wait for the primaries when real votes are cast before handing the nomination to someone who has 75% of his own party's poll respondents against him
"He's has over a year to totally destroy our country and its economy."
How, exactly, do you see that playing out? What will be the indicators, the ones over which the president has control, that the economy was destroyed by them? My guess is that you'll mention his (a) skin color, (b) Kenyan Socialist Muslim origins, or (c) golf. Go ahead, show us what you have.
"Libs will hold their noses and vote for her."
Like you did for Bush, McCain, and Romney? That glass house must be full of holes....
UBS analysis suggests an oil price in the middle of next year at $67, thereby helping some of the lost oil jobs to return just in time for the Democrats to win their landslide. Gasoline is $1.97 near me and a Democrat is in the White House. Optics, baby, optics. No one is going to elect a president whose claim to fame is building a wall that the Congress won't fund. Just give it time, and the voters will figure it out. Rubio is going to lose his seat to a Democrat as will Vitter. Better start stockpiling the excuses now. You can use a different one as each of your "candidates" goes down in flames.
And what has her age to do with her qualifications in government? She's younger than Reagan and a far sight smarter and experienced. Avez-vous fréquenter l'école publique?
