Maybe INO should target poultry as a validation platform, proof at any level would be a plus... less fed reg
I own a fair chunk of INO. I like the investment but have been pretty hard in my posts of late... Fact is if news continues to flow as it has... then the price action speaks volumes... I am sure that in another dollar or two the AF effect will again take a shot, but at this time I believe that we are one strong validation away from a significant rise...
I would hope that big pharma has INO under glass.
well stated, I hold a decent part of my allocations in ino and much as I believe in the investment. There is no such thing as a sure thing... Can't spend the money till you make it..
I don't get why I shouldn't lend shares out... they get sold back to me cheaper and then they have to cover when the upward price movement dictates that they do so.
I'd expect that for it to go through in the near term that between 3-4.5 billion would be a number that would produce careful consideration or a sale by INO. below that they can wait...
Back awhile ago when INO short interest was built up I studied the time and sales.
Seems that much of the short interest was timed to go along with a release of an AF bash on a day that was performing exceptionally...
Timing seemed a bit more than co-incidental as share movement began almost to the second on the short side. The first sales were nicely placed (based on how much higher they were than the current price or the high 6's we were recently in).
The bulk of the sales were made in the 10.25 area. So again if well played and covered below $8 a nice return. Based on the current short interest there was little indication that shares were covered.
Makes one wonder... but if I had a short position that moved from 10 to 7, my thought would be in maximizing profits, which requires taking tax implications into consideration. So if I had held for less than a year... I would buy out in the money calls in a month that met moved my play into a capital gain instead of income.
Another option would be to buy the calls out of the money, depends on if you see further weakness ahead.
I do not short stocks myself, I prefer put plays.
I have sold (not bought) puts and accumulated a fair position in INO through outright purchases and delivered put positions.
To answer the comment "why shorts would pick INO as a lucrative short play", well because it was a good move. They made me jealous, but I still believe that INO will make a move that will justify the play. Thing is in looking back I realized that aside from an outright buyout, INO will move around on news and there is a tremendous opportunity in both sides of the options. I have become more active playing options. The majority of my plays are selling out of the money calls, and in/at the money puts... It pays well.
actually my tag is a binary representation of my name so wrong again. You have been rude to me before for no productive reason.
Trading strategies are what I come to a board to discuss, to me they make more sense than wishing for things... your content is vapor, the option premiums on this stock are huge and strategies for maximizing return are interest to intelligent posters...
what a meaningless post... something could happen that makes this go either way. I bet on the long side but your constant meaningless post stream gets old
I see you read the posts for insight... Managing you cost basis is a good strategy, but probably beyond your ability to comprehend. You can look up the big words in the dictionary
about time, I have sold $10 calls and $10 Puts and am back in the green on INO...
The option activity is a gold mine, but been a few promising developments lately.
Still lost a bit of confidence and will play the stock heavily. I am looking to reduce by base to 12-15K shares and will do so with call activity. The premiums are great for reducing the cost basis and I use the puts to boost the payout or replace shares...
Very happy to see the news.
These orders allow large positions to be moved without having a dramatic effect on the price as the MM's can accumulate sells going in... These positions are tracked on the big board and are why the can claim what the closing bias is before the close
The evidence that this is not accumulation is in the price action.
Maybe you could get more buyers on board by appealing to their common sense and sayin... if you are looking for tax write-offs this year... then buy some
But still no activity
yesterday the was an article on to evals that showed safe ebola drugs from two other companies but the one promising action late last year and two months ago (they said weeks) nothing... Sue they claim weeks to develop a response, but just don't come through on the promise
