John thanks for your take. I owned Himx at the $1.75 level when it announced a 25cent dividend. I loaded the boat as it was yielding over 12% and Google took a position in Himx displays for a play on Google glass. I then sold out at $7.50 and watched it go to $15 right in my face. I then also got back in when the stock came all the way down into the $5s and they did a secondary down there and sold in the low $8s. I am concerned that management watches the stock price to much and as you said some desisions are based on stock price and not fundamentals. I would hate to see them pay a big dividend which has not been supported by earning and then be forced to do another secondary.do you think the company has adequate cash to support the LCOS growth and when will it show up in revenue and earnings. TIA

The average strike price was around $11 for about 3 million shares that were in the money. There were many shares with a strike price above $20

Sean, looking for a good entry price to get back into HIMX. Do you think it will hold $8 or should I wait for mid $7's. Also how much money will the dividend be. I have not seen that announced anywhere

They were carrying a cost on the B/S of over $25 million. When I spoke to SK about the ESOP a year ago he stated that the portion that was in the money was over $25 million. That would have represented over 3 million shares to exercised. .The more I think about it the more I am convinced that the 8150 shares that were offered to management and employees was to replace the IMOS ESOP plan.

Maybe those IPO purchases by management and employees was the offset to the IMOS $25 million ESOP plan that was eliminated. If that was the case then I have no problem with it. Better communication from management is needed. Just like the last earnings report where the headline should have read on a non GAAP basis IMOS earned 30 cents with a 1 time FX charge of 20 cents bring GAAP earnings down to 10 cents.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

IIG, IMOS did not use $25 million of our money to buy back the ESOP. The share count was reduced each time a buyback was in place from the outstanding shares at the time. The ESOP plan never issued the shares but did cancel the whole program that was accrued and converted it to 8150 with no cost to IMOS shareholders.

I am not saying I would have not been happy to see a premium but never counted on it. John He was the largest holder before those investor meetings and he told me that that would never fly with 8150 shareholders so he sold out his entire position right after the meetings.( 3.5 million shares).

As far as management and employees they were only able to buy 3% into the IPO. SJ position is 2 times larger even now in IMOS so I don't see where he benefited either.

Sean, if I were you I would spend more time trying to understand how you got screwed in EXAS. I would be all over that management for misleading their investors. I am surprised there has not been a class action suit led by you.

By the way how did management of IMOS lined their pockets while screwing you. The timing was terrible as the window closed when business was good but I don't think they had a crystal ball. They never publicly stated that you would get a premium on conversion. It was talked about in some investor meetings but still would have needed 8150 approval. I don't see that as a crooked act. Seems based on institutional holdings that the large investors were not disappointed with the conversion that has been presented. My only issue was how long the process has taken.

I don't hear you applauding management for transferring IMOS $25 million employee obligation to 8150. That saved IMOS shareholders about $1 per share.

Top 15 IMOS shareholders increased their holdings by 2 million shares and the top 5 increased their holdings by 1.1 million shares. Smart money is waiting for conversion and or increase in undervaluation.

Sean, maybe you should take out your frustration on the EXAS board or the Himax board as they seem to be the ones that are screwing you the most. HIMAX now down below $9 less the 6 weeks after you told us your 600 options were in the money at $12.Also EXAS sand bagged you with out any warning that their technology would not pass phase 3 trails.

I saw a couple of major trends from the filings. Assembly business went from 16% GM down to 4% GM. which is mostly Micron's business. Now you could understand why IMOS turned down the JV in China with Micron and let Powertech take the business. GM still very strong in testing and LCD. Bumping business down 25% Y/Y. Not sure why but that is a big percentage.

IIG, funny when Chipbond goes up and 8150 lags we think that they are taking market share from IMOS. Just maybe IMOS is gaining new business and Chipbond is not. Time will tell.

Sean, not looking for a any credit. You are #$%$ because you were margined up the gazoo. Don't blame me or anyone else on this board for your poor trading habits. I bought into exact science because of your bullish call, you don't hear me complaining. By the way I have no tie in with management so please don't blame me for your bad timing. You are very bitter and maybe if you hate the company so much then get out like I did with your touted call on exact. And I never stated that I am happy with the BOD nor SJ actions. Please stop taking cheap shots at me because I have no more information then you do about the company.
