I saw a couple of major trends from the filings. Assembly business went from 16% GM down to 4% GM. which is mostly Micron's business. Now you could understand why IMOS turned down the JV in China with Micron and let Powertech take the business. GM still very strong in testing and LCD. Bumping business down 25% Y/Y. Not sure why but that is a big percentage.

IIG, funny when Chipbond goes up and 8150 lags we think that they are taking market share from IMOS. Just maybe IMOS is gaining new business and Chipbond is not. Time will tell.

Sean, not looking for a any credit. You are #$%$ because you were margined up the gazoo. Don't blame me or anyone else on this board for your poor trading habits. I bought into exact science because of your bullish call, you don't hear me complaining. By the way I have no tie in with management so please don't blame me for your bad timing. You are very bitter and maybe if you hate the company so much then get out like I did with your touted call on exact. And I never stated that I am happy with the BOD nor SJ actions. Please stop taking cheap shots at me because I have no more information then you do about the company.

That's a good reason to be diversified. The grand slam was $1.60 to $8 in a couple of months a few years ago when I introduced Himx to the board. HIMX is now trading on hype not actual earnings, not to say that maybe they will grow into this positive growth action.

Not sure I agree. IMOS will save over 7 million in taxes alone in 2016. Their CAPX is only going up about $10 million including the expansion. I also expect the revenues will be much higher then their forecast. JMHO and based on market conditions and also comments made by SJ about segments seeing improvement over last year.

IMOS filed a knew SEC document today. Very surprised to see that it was the March investor report that is on their web site. They have never done that before. What that does now is makes anyone that receives SEC filings read the huge China expansion. Like I said very surprising and they have never done it before.

Bam, good analogy. The numbers are out there that support their beliefs and only that.We as investors need to analyze the info and form our own opinion.. If I knew that those projections were fact I would be loading the boat further. I do use the info to support my current investment position and will continue to gather other info as it comes in. But to say that their projections will never materialize then and I believed that I would be out of here in a New York minute.

I am sure IMOS only put out the China forecast because of the request from Shareholder's about the Unigroup investment. They don't even give guidance for the next quarter. I agree with all your points about the conversion and botched buy backs. Their IR needs much work to get the story out there better and I hope in the future with all of the other issues just about to be closed that they will find away to do a better job. With all that said a lot of the buy backs were bought at higher prices so not every company can state that they are able to do a great job on buying back shares. The worst part was the timing and conservatism on their part.

Just for those that feel there will be a shift of revenue from Taiwan to China then just read this from the question and answer from Thursday's CC.We all know that this is there opinion but they are backing it up with CAPX. Okay. Thank you. And the next question on capacity expansion plan in Shanghai. I know you put out a forecast of the capacity and also the revenue generation by 2018. I'm just wondering because I think currently in the market, even yourself the utilization rate is still not that full and one of your competitors has a much bigger capacity on Taiwan. So do you think the demand is really going to take off by 2018 or is it just the reallocation of the capacity from Taiwan to China?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

S.J. Cheng, ChipMOS Technologies Bermuda Ltd - Chairman and CEO [57]

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes. Jerry, to answer your question, if you see the China panel new capacity, right now they have lots of 8.5 generation and even 10.5 generation, new panel what's under construction in China. And they will continue to fill the new capacity up. So that's maybe a reason for us to build the capacity in Shanghai.

And regarding the Taiwan side, we still have customers to support. So this is not a relocating. So that would be the new capacity to meet the China market requirements. And based on our calculation, our capacity 8-inch is based on our customers' [forecast]. So we are not building capacity waiting for customers. We have customer requests to build the capacity for

I am not ruling out the possibility of another down turn but with the information at hand looks like we have a much better chance of growth vs a decline. If you are in only because of the spread and are in the camp of negative revenues in the near future that spread will close very quickly with 8150 dropping like a fly. You are free to invest anyway you want to and I am not here to convince you that IMOS is a good investment. I am here to trade information that is out in the market place. I feel sorry that you are probably under water in your IMOS investment but you are not alone. Even Baupost and Soros are under water I believe. Garbage states he has 150K shares. If he truly believes there is negative revenues in the near future then I am sure he would close out his position. I know I certainly would. Anything could happen but I like our chances on moving to fair value based on the information at hand. Lets leave it at that I am not here to defend SK and SJ but they did a great job moving from over $500 million in net debt to being tremendously cash positive when they were on the brink of BK... So I think you should look at his track record from the business side as well as the poor job they did on the buy back side. They did take this stock price from 74 cents in 2009 to over $25 last year. I hope you are not blaming his actions for the down turn in the SEMI industry.

Jam, that is a good point. If you look at page 8 on the presentation IMOS say's that they are investing LCD capacity in China and also in Taiwan. Why would they be investing capacity in Taiwan when their utilization rate is low unless they have plans for new business in Taiwan. Even in a down year their LCD business grew at over 5% in 2015. Just about every device has a screen and that business is growing every year. I read somewhere that IOT will grow to over 1 trillion units by 2020. Just about every new car today offers back up cameras and that will be come standard over the next couple of years. I don't see the LCD business going away anytime soon like Connversion think so.
