Sean, thanks and happy holiday's to all. We are rounding the turn into the final home stretch. And looks like it could be a photo finish with an awesome time of $25 at the Derby and then we move on to the preakness 2 weeks later in May with another photo finish @$27.50. The grand finally at the Belmont should prove record time clocking in with another photo finish breaking every track record @$30.The only question is did we have a triple crown winner or was it a split between these 2 great thoroughbreds Sir Micron and Baby IMOS.? Any ideas on the outcomes and clocked times by horse.

Dave, also look at SPIL and ASX. They trade here the next morning within 1/2% each day and does not matter what the US stock market is doing. That also could work in the reverse if the Taiwan market is bad we won't move up if the US market is doing well. The bottom line is we will track Taiwan when all unknowns are known.

Dave, great post. I would just want to add to your comments about the stock performance. IMO if it was not for the restructuring that was put in process back in 2010 there would have been no way that Craig Halum or Cowen would have put out research on IMOS. IMOS closed on December 31st 2011 $5.16. Craig Halum started coverage on I believe Feb 24th 2012 just 2 months later and hit a high around $10.63 that day. One month later we went on to hit newer highs of $19.04.So we went from January 1st to March 19th from $5.16-$19.04. This would never have been possible with out the corporate restructuring. JJJ is clue less about what was needed for institutions to be able to buy IMOS. I know we were all #$%$ when they did the reverse 1-4 split(as was I) but if it wasn't for that the stock price prior to Craig Halum coverage would have been under $2 (pre split)and no way in the world would they have covered it. SPIl tried to buy the whole company for 25 cents a share at the end of 2008 and thank God SK-SJ fought them off. Yes we had to give up a lot in the end but so did SPIL and Thailin to make this happen. If we did nothing we probably would have been bought out by private equity for a fraction of what we are worth now. IMOS has a market cap today after all the dilution of $650 million and at the end of 2008 it was around $20 million. I still say management has done a great job that was no easy task. PS they also are running a great company that now has net cash of over $250 million from net debt of over $500 million back in 2008.They created over $25 per share in cash over that time period.

Sean, no problem. I just feel like Dave, we only rehash old issues when the stock price declines.I just want to clear up a couple of issues that I have discussed with management. SJ's plan sale does not block the company from doing a buy back at anytime time they want. The ESOP plan will be paid one way or another out of Bermuda's funds either through a settlement in cash or additional shares. My best guess would be cash. I would deduct $22 million(at current price of $21,61) from the $3.5 per share that you are using to $2.75 and that includes the cash dividend of about $16 million from 8150. that has not been received yet. I believe the board proposed a $NT 1,20 dividend but still has to be voted on and excepted at the AGM in June. I would think that the money will be forwarded to Bermuda in July.

Sean, sorry you feel that way. I feel like you set me up to unload. SK announced his sale 4 months ago when the stock was below $20(a plan sale to sell in a 1 month period ( May to June).Micron executives are selling shares every month and are buying back converts all the time. Why are you bring this sh-t up now? All executives need to sell for what ever reasons. Are you so worried that you are not going to get you share of what ever cash is in Bermuda?I hope you are not trying to tell the board this is another Chinese Co like JJJ) I am really surprised at your comments. But we are all able to say what we want. Maybe you should invest side by side with JJ if you believe his BS.

Sorry, Sean my oversight. Hedge's numbers are very close. I guess they could do that at anytime but maybe were just waiting for the IPO to get listed. I know they have stated they would like to keep cash available when they were ready to do the conversion. Not sure why but they have said that maybe there would be investors that would want the cash in lieu of the stock ADR's. Maybe they want to offer cash and stock at a slight premium as Turt had suggested (which in its self would be a buy back in 8150 shares) I think most investors know that the need to pay the dividend now would really not change anything as far as thinking the company would be more shareholder friendly IMO. One thing that does stick out is that on the CC SJ I believe said something about a buy back but I am not putting any faith in that. I do think things will become clearer by June because of the 2 AGM meetings as to what will happen with the conversion and all the cash.

Bam, waste of time he is an idiot and has no clue IMOS did not sell any shares at $10. SPIL sold 800,000 shares and Thailin sold 2 million in that secondary. The shares sold at $15 and $18 were bought by us from Thailin as a buy back that we spent $67 million on.I would say the Thailin shareholders also step up to make this deal happen. Spil sold a 1/3 of their holdings at $10 also.IMOS sold 26% of our shares(8150) also to make the deal happen, so looks like all parties involved took a hit.

Bam, I guess you are referring to JJJ. The reason why he complains all the time is he sells low and buys high. Not a great recipe for making money unless you are shorting. I would say at this point what ever he does take the otherside of the trade

Pat, sorry for being so harsh. Just at this time we need to make sure when we post that we are posting facts. I am sure everyone is on pins and needles as we are so close to the final structure and soon to start to trade with valuations of our peers in Taiwan.I know you have been a long term investor and have the right intentions. I think we all should post positive and negative comments but just make sure they are not media BS.Again sorry about that and I did go and read that on Goggle . Total misstating of the facts as I stated in my last comments to you.

Jam that was one of the 3 I was referring to.. I have read every report that has come out in the last 2 weeks and they were all awesome. They basically all had the same theme. IMOS is a better investment now then Chipbond based on the memory business back and stronger then ever. They all like the diversification of now being in the 2 hottest segments of the semi industry. LCD driver' s have great margins and the bumping business is now yielding great returns and margins have moved up dramatically and now equal to chipbond's.They also stated that operating earnings will be up 50% this year to over $Nt3.08 and next year $3.24. Remember last years earnings were inflated by the large gains from Thailin sale of IMOS shares. They all seem to agree they will also start to payout about 50% of their earnings in dividends that will now be about the same as their peers yielding about 4%

JJJ ,this is the last time I ever respond to you as your are an idiot. For an investor that is long the stock you are an idiot to bash your own investment . Sounds like you are bitter for never averaging down but you were just too stupid to based on you ranting and raving and lack of DD. IMOS did not lose a customer,Himx did. Chipbond is Himx largest supplier by far so would be a very minimal loss if any. My guess is that Himx lost business from Samsung as they are doing most of their business in house and IMOS does business directly with samsung not through Himx. IMOS now does over 7% with samsung in the LCD business and most likely this news of a lost customer of Himx will be a boon for IMOS as they cut out the middle man and are giving what ever business Himx was giving to Chipbond may go directly to IMOS.

Pat, not sure I agree. IMOS has only 2 analysts that cover the stock Cowen with a buy and PT $29 and Craig Halum a buy with a $33 PT. Consensus is $31 the same as the 3 Asian firms that now have coverage of 8150 with a price equivalent US$31 consensus. Please don't make false statements as some investors just might believe those lies. I hope your are not counting computer generated reports because if you are then you should immediately sell every stock you own and get lost. Investors here don't need to hear lies, if you have real info good or bad that is fine just not BS.

Dave, I agree with you.I think what ever the plan is it will be presented to large IMOS investors first for pre approval. What I don't think could happen would be valuation on conversion anything less then the 2 underlying assets. 522 million shares of 8150 and final cash on hand in Bermuda. Maybe they will have some other presentaion as they have talked about cash and stock as an option but if less value then the 2 assets in total it will never fly with IMOS shareholders. Not with the liquidity now of 8150 on the big board. Maybe when trading on the Emerging market before that could have been an option. And yes I also agree they won't have anything in place by the time of the CC but would most likely want to be ready for the AGM meeting in June for the 8150 shareholders vote. The discount could last until we have a total conversion plan approved by both entities.

Foggy, I just started a position at the lows today. I still think the $8's are in cards but am willing to start the postion now (on such huge volume and price movement down)and will be adding every 50 cent down a lot. I hope to get a full postion with an average in the mid to low $8's where it does become a value play again. As you know I was one of the first to uncover HIMX based on being one of IMOS top 5 customers and saw the great value in the $1.75 range( getting ready to pay a 14% dividend). I sold out after the Google hype around $7.50 average back in August last year and have stated they are a great company but not at more then 15x forward earnings. Based on analyst's estimates of 61 cents it now fits that P/E. I am not that confident that the 61 cents will hold up but I do follow every peer company in Asia and business is great. Just read the CS and CLSA reports for IMOS after their IPO that started IMOS with a buy, but more important they talked about the4KTV explosion that is going on and the much higher resolution screens that take longer testing times and the 4KTV's have 3 times the amount of drivers that will use a lot of 8 inch capacity which will bode well for HIMX and Novatech.
