any NG supply shortage is most temporary- it's as if one shuts off the water hose to the pool & evaporation causes the level in the pool to drop a ft. one simply turns the water back on and voila full pool again. trying to compete w/ putin in europe will also be a lesson in futility. simply by lowering NG prices in europe & absorbing a $7 bil. loss each yr. for the next 5 yrs. putin could squash the new incoming LNG mkt. trying to get a toe hold there. sure it sends a clear message to putin that further shutoffs to europe by gazprom will be met w/ a deluge of foreign LNG . unfortunately putin is still in the catbird seat. my opinion! Now if sanctions are placed on putin by europe & usa that's a different game.
any action in wnr, is,at this point, a call on their earnings report- positive, negative, or mixed? it is to be released in 2 wks.? Another words a gamble. Then, one can turn their attentions to the ramifications of the summer driving season. However, the increasing price of a barrel of oil ,recently, is cutting into crack spreads. my opinion.
