Just look at the valuations of goog, twtr,fb,yhoo, msft, etc. They could easily pay $5 billion for aol and bring
profits to their bottom lines. Also, aol would fit well into any of these companies and create alot of synergy.
The thing I like most about aol, though, is the digital ad revenues they're getting from the purchase of adap.tv.
Aol is just at the beginning stage of a major turnaround, imo. Companies like yhoo, goog, fb, twtr, msft, aapl, etc. are flush with cash and it's just a matter of time before one of these buys aol.
I've seen companies like pinterest and square given valuations in the billions and aol is only valued at a little over $3billion.
Yhoo recently bought tumblr for $1 billion and fb bought instagram for $1 billion. I wonder if twtr will buy something soon.
First of all, his name is spelled Cramer ( you must be republican). While I'm not a huge fan of his, you would have made about 30% in a month if you had taken his advise. From your screen name, you like to short stocks, which is probably not working out very well for you this year.
What you said is true for momentum stocks, but i would hardly call aol a momentum stock since it's only traded between $30 and $44 all year.. Tsla, nflx, amzn, etc. are momentum stocks.
Since Aol bought the huffington post and adap.tv, it' s a different company than what it was a decade ago. When you look at the market caps of goog, yhoo, nflx, cbs, fb, etc., it should be much higher. I think there are many companies that would consider acquiring them.
I moved half of my money over to etrade a month ago because of the loss of streamer. I do like etrade's marketcaster better than what ameritrade is offering, but still miss streamer. Etrade gave me $1000 for switching over, plus free trades for 2 months and $4.99 trades.
I agree. I was shocked when I went to a JCP in south san francisco last week. It was much nicer than Macy's.
Why does it bother you so much that he's black? Bush was white and look at how horrible he was.
I'm well aware of the problems facing JCP, but there are also some positives like Disney opening inside of them. With a market cap of just $1.5 billion and 54% short interest, any good news could send the shares soaring.
I moved half of my account to etrade last week and I'm much happier there. I think their marketcaster is much better and easier to use than Ameritrade's tools. Also, I got $1000 for transferring my account plus $5.00 a trade vs. the $8.00 Ameritrade was charging me. They gave me two months of free trading too.
I've been boycotting amtd ever since they removed streamer. I haven't made one trade with them since. I've transferred most of my money to etrade and will give them my business in the future.
I went into an etrade office today and their streamer looked pretty good. I just transferred $250k and got a $1000 sign up bonus and $5.00 trades. That's much better than the $8.00 I was paying with Ameritrade. It will take a week to transfer over, but i'll let everyone know how it goes once I'm up and running.
