Historically it's been a good company to short because it hasn't turned a profit in 16 years of existence. Hence the activism and the shakeup. But this is turning into a completely different company. A great product and good I.P. equals a winning formula, in the right hands. This Company is in those hands, now.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Don't forget Harland and other Board stiffs being replaced by the likes of Fitzgibbon, Wenker and Moretz. These guys are winners, period. Amazing buy opportunity for anyone at this point, in my humble opinion.
Haywood attended Harvard University at the age of 16, receiving a BA in Biology before attending Harvard Law School. He subsequently headed Corporate Bond Trading at Lehman Brothers and High-Yield Bond Investing at Moore Capital. Haywood has been a private investor since 1998. He was the largest private shareholder and a board member at XM Satellite Radio (now Sirius XM (SIRI)); the largest private investor in Martek Biosciences; and as the largest shareholder in AVI from 2005-2011, led a successful effort in 2010 to change the executive team at what is today Sarepta Therapeutics.
I never underestimate Haywood. He is brilliant, quite literally. And his hand-picked Board is a dream team of marketing and executive studs. The company remains in VERY good hands.
New CEO by end of November, it looks like...
ALL 150 metric tons sold by mid-2015!!!
Lots of strategic planning...
Looking good, my friends, looking good....
It wasn't me! If this isn't a lesson to NOT use stop-losses on stocks you are holding long-term, I don't know what is...
Here is how it is possible -- start up costs for a new factory, prep for selling under its own label, losing third-party revenues from other labels, marketing and advertising to re-establish market share, etc.
I used to own this garbage company. They've had an "interim" CEO in place now for over a year. The company has steadily tanked during this time period. I'm sure it has something to do with that. It suggests a lack of direction and stability. WE NEED A PERMANENT CEO!!
I take high dosages of the over the counter stuff to get about 360 mg phospholipids and 180 mcg astaxanthin a day, based on some research I've done. I'm NO doctor though. I have no doubt the stuff has helped my mental well-being a lot.
Seriously? Just about any drug or grocery store where I live here in PA sells it, but GNC and NOW Foods sell NKO and I'm not sure where you can get the NOW stuff. Watery eyes have been bothering me recently, watching this stock.
The only thing I can come up with is the market was hoping that the results would show significant lowering of LDL as part of the so-called "Trifecta". However, the drug is not being developed to treat that. Moreover, it reduced non HDL-C. So, the results overall were positive. I can understand why Amarin's struggles with the FDA might negatively affect this stock; however, I would have expected that to happen before ACST's results were released -- which, again, were good overall.
You've been right to this point. I'm looking to add here, because as Darth has alluded to, the small float and market cap suggest AUMN will fly higher and faster when there is a rally. And a rally is inevitable. For example, sadly, imo there WILL be a terror attack in this country sooner or later (probably orchestrated by ISIS), followed by the typical national panic attack.
