This stock has had a VERY high PE. It had a high PE because people believed that the stock would one day make a lot of money. That day is here and now the PE is getting to a more appropriate level relative to revenues and earnings. When revenues and earnings double from here, we'll be at $80. And if they double again, at $160. That's my take on how the market is pricing the stock. When Apple buys in and OLED TVs take off, and white OLED lighting is on the walls of everyone's home, we'll be a very high priced stock. Most people are not long-term investors. Most people lose money in the market.
The report was very good and that is not the reason I hold the stock. This company is a perfect takeover target. The big money is hopefully yet to made. To sell because of this report is the hallmark of the majority who lose money in the stock market.
I hope people do dump their shares so that we can buy GIGA cheaper. This is not a stock for a 3 - 4 month hold. The real money will be made over the next SEVERAL years.
Very happy for you. l will be taking my wife out for dinner tonight to celebrate.
On more serious note, they have to have a platform that beats the competition, is bug free, that people love using, and it needs to be implemented soon before others take WPCS' place in the marketplace (a place where they have yet to exist, other than their engineering projects).
That would give it a half a billion market cap. I'm hoping for $5.70 a share where I can say "I'm even!" I agree, $350 would be a lot better.
I just sent WPCS two emails. One stating what I said in my earlier message. The other explaining the three key components of a strategy (objectives, scope, and value proposition), with none of those key components ever even nearly adequately addressed in their conference call or subsequent press releases. I'm down 60% on this stock. I hope I am wrong about them and they actually know what they are doing, or at least someone they have hired knows.
I'm long with a lot of shares. But the title of the news this morning should have read "We're still working on it." One would think the planning would have started BEFORE acquisition, not after. If you don't have your strategy in place prior to acquisition, then don't acquire anything until you do. That's business 101. The press release today was ridiculous. And, the current price of WPCS reflects that. I am totally ticked off about their amateurism.
The drop yesterday was based on non-news but seemed to have been news to people who are new to the stock or haven't been paying attention. Thosein the know took advantage of the buying opportunity created by people dumping their shares.
I am sure that is true. However, at $22 I'm sure we'd have far fewer people bellyaching about the price than at $7.50. I would have been fine at $7.50 because I'm in at $4.21.Had I bought in the 30s and believed that one day the stock could return to that level, I'd be upset at a buyout offer of $22, too.
But what we learned is how many people believe that at 7.50 the company was undervalued to the point where class action lawsuits were generated. It gives an idea of the potential value of ANV.
If ANV rejects it because they feel the price is too low, it will give a huge amount of credibility to the stock and I believe that the share price will go up regardless as to whether or not the deal goes through. If it's a bogus bid, then the stock may drop on disappointment but nothing has changed for the company.
Rumor is that Samsung will not use an OLED display in their S5 to free up manufacturing capacity for creation of curved OLED screens.
You must live in a terrified state. Racist, homophobic, not doubt other examples. You need some help.
The huge rally this past year has certainly gotten people interested. Having a functioning product that people use ( a lot of people) is what will move the stock. We will see. I'm long 11K shares at 5.70 (I bought 2 years ago) so very much want to see everything go well.
Once WPCS has a functioning product, news like that will help move the stock. Until, then, WPCS-issued press releases may help move the stock but results (profits) is what it will take to accelerate and sustain those moves.
We want the bitcoin to go up and down in value, not just rally. We're interested in as many trades as possible. That is what makes a market. Up and down movements make for large trading volumes, as we've seen with WPCS.
How old are you? I would think like that when I was in my early 20s and buying my first stocks. I think getting back to $5 would be a good first step. When the software gets implemented and there is revenue/profit generated we'll be able to make better predictions.
