I agree. I think it could easily get $9 if they just hit the midpoints. No reason not to get to a 30 PE with the growth they are experiencing. If they can pull off the high end of guidance, $11 is a reasonable target
Short interest in amba is both huge and powerful. According to yahoo, over 37% of the float is short. This isn't mom and pop. Big money is at stake and these guys aren't just likely to fold and cover. They will use anything that remotely resembles possible problems ahead as weapons in this battle, as demonstrated today by bear analysts remarks on television. Certainly a big effort to keep a cap on it. There is actually more short interest that there is institutional support. Now they have some technical things working in their favor. Shorts have hammered gpro and have tied amba closely to it. I believe around 37% of amba revenues are from gpro so it is a legitimate tie. The competition also uses amba chips, so it would be a wash it would seem. Now there is the off handed comment that the competition also uses chips from a amba competitor . I have seen amba chips verified in the competition. I have not seen any verification of any of amba competitors chips being used in gopro competition. Research needed. Look for more battles. This is far from over. It could go either way near term. Long term, amba sure looks solid.
