you dominate this board with 99% of your posts and those that respond to you talking about everything but EMC... I don't know you.. but you have really corrupted this board... talk about this company.. talk about the stock.. not trips to chicago or the other stuff that takes up postings on this board and discourages people from adding comments to this board to discuss stocks.. it is a free country you can do what you want but you commented about the posts so I'm responding...

    RAD will be the hunted!!

family dollar and dollar tree.... these low cost stores impact RAD and WMT.. I have owned RAD since 1989... I have seen this stock as high as $50 and as low as $0.21....revenue is growing... RAD is a great turn around story.... they are in the right place at the right time... they fought their way back.... got rid of Mary S..... I've been aware of you on this board for a very long time Ace... and if you check you will see I have been here longer....

  • RAD is now onsale again. This might be as good a time to buy as it was back with the stock was down to $0.21. What a confluence of events. Rite Aid buys RediClinc . Family Dollar and Dollar General are going to combine (one way or another). An article today talks about WalMart pushing more into primary care medicine with it's clinics. WalMart is under pressure to find growth, it's stock price is faltering. Another article was out last week talking about big box stores needing smaller foot prints. Rite Aids current market cap is just shy of $6B. Add in their debt another $5B. It would take $12B for the entire company. With RAD in the middle of a massive turn around $12B is cheap. If you have any money laying around now's the time to add more RAD!!!

thanks for the dialog pebble... but it's a lot cause.. this is the worst stock BB on Yahoo... and it's a shame .. .how can one person dominate a BB like this guy dividendbill? he must feel really important in life.... this mesaage board is his kingdom... anyway... EMC is undervalued... seems to be getting some attention from Wall Street... it has major major institutional investors 100M, 50M share basis.... so people that make money think they can make even more money from EMC yet this board is dead.. dead.. dead... crazy.....

so one even tries to start a discussion on this board? the stock is going gang busters... ti might even be "in-play" and there is NO talk on this board... nothing.... just reading off hand stuff about Cisco's weak move into the cloud.. possible M & A w/ EMC mentioned.. an no one over here is even talking about it... A cisco w/ EMC (VMW/Pivotal) combination would be ridiculous. What a company that would be.. wow.... could it even work? Cisco would have to come in at $45/share I would think to get shareholders to push the issue... they could make it a cash + stock deal.. float a bond ... then sell off a big chunk of VMW and spin out Pivotal for another big chunk of money..... it could be done!!

  • could it happen? what would the price be for EMC? cash & stock deal? any thoughts?

  • yet no one on this board seems to care. The stock is at $29.31... the 5 year high is $29.99.... the stock is a stones throw from $30 yet this board is totally totally dead... crazy..... EMC will buy back even more shares.. either directly or from spin off proceeds (VMW or Pivotal)... the stock can not help but go higher... the average volume of 14-15M shares is being crushed on the regular (20 - 25M over the past week or so).... the stock is just putting up higher highs... and this board is dead.. I just don't get it...... oh well..

I put Dividendbill and all related posters on ignore.... there was no one left on the board ... it's sad.. EMC is really doing well right now and there is ZERO discussion on the stock.. ZERO..... the market makers in this stock are making a killing..... everymorning they buy the stock up strong... then for the rest of the day they let the programs sell into them so they can get more and more stock off of the sidelines... 28 - 30 is a huge area of resistance... going back 2 years.... a lot of shareholder need to sell here to get even.... that works out fine for Elliott and company... it also works out for the market makers.... EMC will buy back more shares directly, via proceeds from selling more VMW or spinning off Pivotal.... no matter what happens EMCs stock price will be much higher in 6 months.... so watching this trading is a real education..... but no one seems to be paying attention or caring about this stock on this message board.... crazy.....

  • The man made his money... the easy money..now he is moving on.... that is the nature of his business... RAD has had a nice run up from $0.21.. he got in a $1- $2. I am not mad him for taking his money and running. RAD is in a great position right now. The Dollar Tree/Family Dollar thing bumps up RADs value to WMT as a target. WMT needs to respond to this move and RAD fits the bill perfectly. RAD's debt is a pain but that extra $5-6B can be made up in short order via logistical savings over 5 - 6 years by WMT. Don't get caught out there crying because Einhorn left the building. The stock takes a hit here... is flat for 6 months or so... who cares.. load up while you can.... you will be made when the stock is $15 in 2016... just like it was $1.00 in 2011 and everyone laughed....

major development and there is no conversation at all... the stock is up almost $3 in less than a month and no one on this board seems to care.... dominated by DB, people talking at DB or anything else related to dividendbill.... sad....

just trying to stiumlate conversation about this stock... this is a really big situation and there is no real discussion regarding the stock... no discussion at all..it's just sad..

  • I read somewhere online that Elliott, et. al. was already talking to "buyers" regarding the break up of EMC. How much would they need to bid in order to get the job done? How much for RSA? Pivotal? VMW (market camp is $33.28B at the close today). If the Elliott group is really looking to break up the company something is going to have to happen soon. The stock price is going up and that means less profit from any breakup sale. What's the scenario? But it, break it up and spin the parent back out as a publically traded company? These guys don't want to own the company they just want their stock price to go up so how's this gonna work? Any thoughts?!

not really the stock needs to break above 28 really strongly..... lots of resistance between $28 - $30.. if the stock even flashs $29.XX I'd be grabbing this stock with both hands.... if it can't hold $28 this forget about this stock for a long long time....

MU was the same way.... $5 stock.. beaten down for years... now look $34 stock... why can't EMC do the same? MU was also a high flyer back in the day.. go crushed and is not back in the game.... why not EMC?

again you are missing the point.. I also follow RAD.. and the stock was down to $.0.21.. and I was on that board saying buy more..buy more, etc.. and guess what the stock turned around.. and still has room to run.... of course EMC faltered and the stock came down... those things happen w/ investing... do you have anything to add to the conversation as to why this stock should remain a "sell" in your opinon? do you have anything to add in the way of Pivotal or EMCs venture into flash storage, etc.. just a discussion on the merits or lack there of regarding this stock...

There is no real discussion of EMC on this board. I'd say 1 in 100 posts, if that, is actual discussion on the stock.

I don't think you are making a bad move. The move today is a headline/excuse to take profits by some. Well run company. Good earnings. Solid business prospects. Pivotal is the key.... if Pivotal shows strong earnings they cry for a spin off will be deafening..

this is a good company, the stock isn't a high flyer like other techs..... if VMW shows good earnings, if Pivotal shows good earnings the stock will take off... down today on the Pure Storage news... it's a headline but it will not materially impact the companies earnings near term.. if at all long term... the stock is undervalued at $26+
