The stock closed at 53.10 less than a month ago. In the meantime they've announced a dist. rate increase, someone call the SEC, we need heads to roll! LOL
Don't you think they announced the rate increase to wet the appetite for a secondary, creating demand. Your naivete is mind boggling.
Listen, I'm sure you are some sort of disgruntled employee or something but why own this if you hate the management so much and think they are manipulating the news cycle. I would never invest in a company that did the things you suggest yet you seem to stay invested and just complain. Who's the dumb one?
Here's a thought, don't count your pennies for a few days and check your account in a few weeks and it will be like this never happened except that your distribution will be higher.
you can't really reason with this guy, don't confuse his arguments with facts. Everyone is working against him, his world is collapsing, let him believe what he wants. He probably has like 200 shares and wets himself when the stock moves a buck.
good points. It would be nice to have a higher yield, but also keep in mind that these distributions could be even more favorable next year if the dividend tax goes as high as it might.
you will know there is a buyout when it's trading at $20, because that is all it is worth...for now....This company won't exist in 10 years but a great income generator via puts!
I shorted this before earnings, made a pile of cash and then put it into Apple, oh so stupid....I should be long SODA and be waiting around for someone to drive it up on some week news. Was in William Sonomoa this weekend, guess what was on the clearance table in the back....It wasn't an iPad! ;)
really? You should probably read an MLP primer or the HUGE feature on MLP's in Barrons this past weekend. I'm not saying the unit price is going to the moon, but the dividend is EASILY sustainable, well over the coverage ratio and room for growth as it has for like 30 straight quarters.
You might get a few bucks lower if oil drops, but have fun paying that distribution or covering before the ex-date.
the catalyst is the earnings blowout that no one sees coming......oh wait that was 5 bucks ago. the catalyst is PEP or K coming out with home solutions, oh that would be the wrong direction. Being long this is like being long Ron Popiel and the food dehydrator, that's not really fair though, Ron had several products that far exceeded the popularity of this thing.
you are so smart, you are correct, other people have bought $APPL that's how a stock rises, demand outpaces supply....I know you are not familiar with this concept as you are long SODA and no one really wants to buy shares. I will buy more $APPL once it comes back after the iPhone launch. It will be 750 by January, possibly 800. Soda will likely rally to 34 after falling to 26. Enjoy!
I took my APPL profits and bought some SODA, the growth prospects are so much better and.....oh wait, I took my profits from SODA short and bought more APPL...... During the time it took me to type this I think i made enough to buy the new iPhone.
In case you SODA guys don't know, an iPhone is a product that people actually buy and use.
down to 32, 31ish, but you could buy some there for a short trade before it sinks into the 20's
Closed out my last put position for a total gain of $5,000 over the past week and a half, risking $1,500, grand total of $9,000 over last three earnings periods and 16 days total.... GOOD LUCK with your "INVESTMENT" ;) See you next quarter
I did lie, underlying price was 40.08 when i sold the put for 5 bucks, it's now dropped almost .40 in less than 10 minutes, so easily manipulated. Great investment though LMAO.
