  • Kindly ignore the above and do what you feel like, I am short and need your stock at lower price.

    Broker’s Plea to Disillusioned Investor’s
    When stocks go down as they sometimes will;
    When the funds you own are returning nil;
    When your saving are low and your debts is high;
    And you want to smile but you have to cry;
    When margin calls are starting to swell-
    Borrow if you must but don’t you sell!
    For loss will last only short time;
    It’s a tiny misstep in upward climb;
    For you can never tell when markets will ascend;
    Recover may be near though down is the trend.
    So, always hold on when losses excel-
    When stocks go down you should never sell!

    The old story of J. P. Morgan, who bought stock of Western Union, it was part of Dow Jones Averages, and was more than a few hundred dollars.

    “How can one go wrong, buying Western Union?”

    It cost more than $20 to send a telegraph from NY City to San Francisco. It had to go through more than 30 relay stations. …NYC...Philadelphia…Harrisburg..

    When this story appears in WSJ the stock dropped and never came back to that price.

    We can now send entire library of congress books, in any where in the world in less than an hour.

    Innovation takes over, so never fight the tape.

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,

    Carolyn Novice

  • Every leg down after new high, the Stock is interrupted by a secondary reaction, which may come in two or three phases, or little legs.

    These reactions are lifesavers for those who failed to take action when the bull market ended and are now stuck with giant losses. The secondary reaction gives us a chance to “bail out” at higher prices. It also gives opportunity for shorting. Failure to sell out this rally means you risk “taking a bath” when the next leg of the bear market comes into play, at the end of the secondary reaction.

    Of course, the possibility is ever present in any bear market that the rally will turn out to be a primary reversal. To diminish between a true secondary and primary reversal I can probably do no better than to turn to the words of Richard Russell.

    “An understanding of secondary reaction” wrote Dow Theorist Robert Rhea, “is needed by traders to about the same extend as growing cotton crop requires sunshine.” Yet the secondary is probably the MOST perplexing phenomenon with which an average investor must content.

    To begin with, let us define our terms. Readers are aware that the bull market leg swing is a broad upward movement of stocks, while bull market reaction is an important decline against the primary trend. However, since under the Dow Theory a bear is now in progress, one must reverse the terminology. In bear markets, the primary legs are downward, while the secondary reactions, or rallies, are upward movements against the prevailing primary trend.

    “Secondary reactions,” wrote Rhea, “are necessary to the stock market as safety valves are to the steam boilers.” In other words, when the stock market steam engine is strained and too many passengers have climbed aboard, the safety valve (secondary reaction) is released. Although many reasons are given for every move of this kind, it may be said that secondaries serve the following purposes:

    (1) To correct a primary market movement, which has gone too far in one direction
    (2) To to dampen the speculative ardor of the amateur trader.

    Deceptive rallies…after dullness…Psychology of Reactions…A step-by-step Analysis…. The size of reactions…

    If you would be successful “bear-back rider” know the sign of the secondary, the lifesaver in bear markets.

    Company has more than 3,000 employees and earning was good, some big player decide to take some chips from the table.

    After making new high it needs to digest the gain, and consolidate around these levels.

    A few weeks from now the up trend will continue.

    Good luck!

    Sun will rise from West on Monday. Are you crazy? If VEEV jumps only one point, and closes positive, the volume will dry up.

    Those who took losses can’t buy for 30 days, other wise losses are not allowed by IRS.

    We need base building at low volume and stock going sideways, (supply meet demands) before the bottom is formed. So far it is still under liquidation.

    It is getting little over sold, but still there are chance of this rally to fissile

    Why not short here. Today's buyers have lot of over head supply, they will sell with small profits or small losses.

    If VEEV rally fades, which it will then where will you short?

    Stock price determine buyers and sellers at this price. There is lot of selling pressure. No buying power as of now at these prices.

    Good luck!

    Big player are one step ahead of you, this temporary rally is called Secondary Reaction, mostly 3 hours or 3 days.

    IBD, Barron’s WSJ …. a negative story this weekend.

    You will not see high in VEEV for a few years. The old player who liquidated never comes back for a very long time.

    Long-term graph is very depressing.

    Your broker has a software, which anticipates what you will do based on your historical trading pattern.

    Frankly, someone has already sold your stock, if and when you sell, you will get a computer entry conformation and you have sold at lower price.

    I am quite confident you will sell at lower price.

    The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many men as possible.
    Bernard M. Baruch

    The volume yesterday and today is very heavy.

    This is due to derivatives, please Google Search.

    It looks like some one has to buy and sell VEEV at lower prices. This often happens, when a few big intuitions control nearly 60 to 75% of the outstanding.

    Then one of them decided to bail out, but has Derivatives, like puts bought for $25….$22.50…$20…

    Now as the stock moves lower, the put person gets sucked in, so first dump and then buy your obligation.

    Stock can rally 5 to 7.5% m but the big players selling now may never return.

    I am quite confident stock will be lower after this temporary over bought condition is neutralized.

    Why should new buyer get sucked in this stock?

    We have very bad weather so I will respond later.

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn Novice

    As a trader I bought and sold ICLR last year and number of times I bought at higher price.

    ICLR has daily volatility (between high and low) more than 1.50 and weekly nearly 3 points. But ICLR can open and move up one point with less than 10,000 shares, and then by 10:00am is can move down nearly a point in less than 15,000 shares.

    Please see on the ICLR message board, some of my fans follow me there. Most of them get an email. That one I have done my homework and hope to hold for another 10% from here. I own high 4 digits.

    ICLR message board is very quiet and that is how I like it.

    I have another BRLI and the earning comes tomorrow before opening. It looks like a turnaround situation. Kindly read that message board.

    I was very luck with VEEV, I have small amount about a thousand short.

    Well I am watching House of Cards on Netflix, and getting tired of more snow.

  • With 140,000 employees, ABB so far is very slow in changing the business model.
    With more than 2.2 billion shares outstanding, daily volume is very low. Those who own stock are sitting and waiting for a miracle.

    As a trader buying and selling ABB is not worth it. After making low, it is showing some signs of accumulation. But waiting a few more weeks and months for confirmation may prove an investor wrong.

    I have traded ABB number of times and still feel it has another 5% up move in next six months.

    If we had a staff meeting, then there are always some wise suggestions for this high technology company in this changing world. What part ABB can play is known, but when and how, is keeping it in a stalemate.

    Group press releases 2015
    2015-03-03: ABB to invest $30 million in low voltage products growth in the U.S.

    There is queue of sellers, margin calls, cut your losses; take profits those who were lucky to have bought earlier.

  • A Treasury of Wall Street Wisdom

    IN THE STOCK market the first loss is usually the smallest. One of the worst mistakes anyone can make is to hold on blindly and refuse to admit that his judgment had been wrong.

    Many a novice will sell something he has a profit in to protect something in which he has a loss. Since the good stock usually has gone down least, or may even show a profit it is psychologically easy to let go. With a bad stock the loss is likely to be very heavy and the impulse is to hold on to it in order to recover what has been lost.

    Actually, the procedure one should follow is to sell the bad stock and keep the good stock. With rare exceptions, stocks are high because they are good, and stocks are low because they are of doubtful value.

    Occasionally one is too close to a stock. In such cases the more one knows about a subject-the more inside information one has-the more likely one is to believe that he or she can outwit the workings of supply and demand.

    Experts will step in where even fools fear to tread. No speculator can be right all the time. In fact, if a speculator is correct half of the time he is hitting a good average. Even being right three or four times out of ten should yield a person a fortune if he has the sense to cut his losses quickly on ventures where he has been wrong.

    I have found it wise, in fact, to periodically turn into cash most of my holdings and virtually retire from the market. No general keeps his troops fighting all the time; nor does he go into battle without some part of his forces held back in reserve.

    Sincerely,

    Carolyn Novice

    Most of these folks, first tell family and friends, then high price customers. Hedge funds can smell the coming storm.

    You can take losses, or tell others to hold. On this message board if everyone bought 10,000 shares, that will still do no good. A hedge fund can borrow 5,000,000 shares from block houses and sell. That is what you are seeing.

    Hedge funds are very smart with news media and can also create investigation from Elected officials.
