  • There is very little overhead supply at new high. Consolidation phase is over and this is a good opportunity to add to your portfolio.

There are SEVEN PILLARS OF STOCK MARKET PRACTICE necessary for success.
    1. Determine whether the market is in a "bear" or "bull" trend.
Then determine further whether it is a major, intermediate, or minor trend.
    TRADE WITH THE TREND!

    2. Determine which groups of stocks are the strongest.
TRADE IN STRONG GROUPS FOR ADVANCE! TRADE IN WEAK GROUPS FOR DECLINE!

    3. Select the strongest stocks in these particular groups.
TRADE IN STRONG STOCKS FOR ADVANCE! TRADE IN WEAK STOCKS FOR DECLINE!

    4. BUY ONLY ON REACTIONS-not on advances!
SELL AND SHORT ONLY ON ADVANCES-not on declines!

    5. Place a mental or (if you do not watch the tape) actual stop-loss order of two or three points on your trades.
BE AT ALL TIMES PROTECTED AGAINST POSSIBLE LOSSES!
CLOSE OUT WHEN TRADE GOES AGAINST YOU.

    6. Protect your profits by stop-loss orders. Let your profits grow when you see your stocks advancing.
    HOLD OUT FOR LARGER PROFITS!

    7. Do not hesitate to take your profits; you may be able to re-buy the same stock at lower prices.
SELL WHEN YOU THINK THE MARKET IS DUE FOR A REACTION!
SELL AT THE TOP * * * NOT AT THE BOTTOM
BUY AT THE BOTTOM NOT AT THE TOP

SBUX Stock rallied on HIGH VOLUME and will most likely consolidate at low volume in a trading range above these prices.

THE SEVEN PILLARS OF STOCK MARKET SUCCESS

Please see SBUX tea drinks, made with passion fruit, mango, lemon and secret stuff, it gets users addicted. Oliver Garden Soup and Salad lunch time is $6.95, and cherry drink is $2.95.

Most of the profit comes from the drink, it costs less than 35 cents, which includes glass of ice filtered water.

It is the profit margin on the drink,

    Good Luck!

Technically it is going to be a bigger MOVE, based On Balance Volume.

Google Search, 10 Golden rules for traders, rule 1. Do not fight the chart, it knows what we still do not. SBUX, China and India, 3 billion potential for tea is not even started.

  • 52 Week high was on July 24, 2015..................$59.31

As we come closer to New High the volume will increase and over head supply will tickle down. If and when it makes a New High, it will proves the momentum is still there.

SBUX has good Relative Strength, and On Balance Volume, so only thing we are waiting for Buying Momentum to exceed Selling Pressure.

We may find near the close.

    Good luck!

Why is this down so much?

After a nice run up it is profit taking and consolidation at lower level. Leaders in a battle move first and when the battle starts; they sit back and watch the outcome. After a 3 days or 3 weeks, GTN will again move but slowly based on future guidance.

Same this happened in APPL, and FB.

This is normal for stocks. You are out guessing the professional traders.

    Good luck!

    4. Most of them may never return. New player are generally slow to be convinced.
    5. It takes three weekly higher closing for confirmation. Last week was the first week.

Growth: The growth pattern is characterized by a long continuing advance in the price of the stock with a tendency toward acceleration on the upside in the latter stages of its growth pattern. The astute trader who is only aiming at maximum profits is only going to pay attention to this type of pattern during the later stages of upside acceleration.

IBD keeps pushing GTN @ $16.65

I agree with your statement. There are lot of others stocks which can also meet the guidelines, GPK has
lot of debt. There are articles and charts, and FFTY, ETF which buys IBD stocks 50. Last week FFTY added more GPK, with no other reason.

I have very small investment in GPK, after the earning we can see the wisdom of following, IBD. I go through IBD 15 minutes, it is available at the local library.

Price and volume is a better signal of momentum.

    Good Luck!

Travana Shaken Iced Mango Black Tea Lemonade

    Will lead you to Enlightenment

Nirvana is a place of perfect peace and happiness, like heaven. In Hinduism and Buddhism, nirvana is the highest state that someone can attain, a state of enlightenment, meaning a person's individual desires and suffering go away.

Now that you are enlightened, have a SBUX drink call Travana Shaken Iced Mango Black Tea Lemonade.

If you like it then SBUX should be in your portfolio.

Starbuck could rally 15% to 20% in the next year, to around $70 a share. The stock is richly priced, but fans argue, the chain’s rapid growth merits high P/E.

  • Normal option related kills the option speculators, but temporary phenomena.

“After climbing up to 32.5% last week, bullish sentiment dropped by over eleven percentage points to 21.1%,” Bespoke writes. “This represents the lowest level since early June and the 18th straight week that it has been below the average reading of 38.19% since 2009. This week’s move in bearish sentiment was even larger, as pessimism spiked up to 40.7%. That’s the highest level of bearish sentiment in nearly two years (August 2013). As a result of this week’s moves, the spread between bullish and bearish sentiment now stands at -19.59 percentage points, which is the most negative spread since April 2013!” Source: Barron’s
