    Car-Based Commerce

In partnership with Honda and ParkWhiz, Visa will demonstrate fuel and parking proof-of-concept apps at Mobile World Congress, February 22-25 in Barcelona, Spain (Hall 6, Exhibit Booth 6D40). Developed by Honda Developer Studio and fully integrated into Honda’s head unit, the fuel and parking proof-of-concepts are designed to bring greater simplicity and convenience to services and tasks consumers do every day. Both apps showcase Visa Token Service and feature Visa Checkout, Visa’s online payment service offering simple, one-touch payments. Additional features include:

Fuel App Concept: Pay for gas in one click without leaving the car. The fuel app detects when the car is low on fuel and navigates the driver to nearby gas stations. Once parked next to the pump, the app knows the exact amount of gas needed to fill the tank and can calculate the cost to fill up. The driver can also purchase convenience store items with full integration of discount and loyalty/rewards programs.
Parking App Concept: Just park your car, push the ‘park’ button on the app, and go. Designed in partnership with ParkWhiz for off-street parking spots, the parking app helps a driver pay only for the time used and helps avoid under- and over-paying. Once a parking session is ended, the elapsed time and amount paid are shown on the car’s dashboard, requiring the driver to simply press a button to complete the transaction.
Visa demonstrated car-based commerce as an industry-first at Mobile World Congress 2015, when it showcased how in-car payments could simplify ordering food at a quick service restaurant. Over the last year, Visa has continued to test and evolve in-car payments, including showing how to simplify the process of leasing or buying a car, or even managing services like auto insurance or road tolls, directly from the driver’s seat.

    Good luck!

We are closer to 37.12 and ….

    New Highs & lows

During A Major Bull movement, it is normal to see stock after stock push out of their established patterns and rise to new highs for the year. If the upward momentum continues, those stocks, which recorded new highs, will continue to rise, and they will be joined by fresh “breakouts” which will also augment the “new high parade.”

But when a bull movement shows a steady decrease in the number of new highs, it is a sign that the original rallying strength is ebbing. Such a market, regardless of temporary rallies or confusing fluctuations, may be said to be “living on borrowed time.” It is axiomatic that diminishing strength during a market advance will gradually turn into increasing weakness. By the same token, decreasing weakness during a market decline will materialize into a growing strength

Please keep an eye on New highs on NYSE and
Dow and S&P 500 are far from making new highs, the advance line and new high list is doubtful, but if AT&T makes a New High, it is giving a bullish signal.

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn Novice

Want to trade successfully? Just choose the good positions and avoid the bad ones. Poor trade selection takes a heavy toll as it bleeds your confidence and wallet. You face many crossroads during each market day. Without a system of discipline for your decision-making, impulse and emotion will undermine skills as you chase the wrong stocks at the worst times.

Technical Analysis teaches traders to execute positions based on numbers, time and volume. This discipline forces traders to distance themselves from reckless gambling behavior. Through detached execution and solid risk management, short-term trading finally "works".

Markets echo similar patterns over and over again. The science of trend allows you to build systematic rules to play these repeating formations and avoid the chase:

    1. Forget the news, remember the chart. You're not smart enough to know how news will affect price. The chart already knows the news is coming.

    20. Beat the crowd in and out the door. You have to take their money before they take yours, period.

DUBLIN (AP) _ Icon PLC (ICLR) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $63.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Dublin-based company said it had profit of $1.11.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.10 per share.

The contract research organization posted revenue of $403.3 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $408.7 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $239.5 million, or $3.98 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.57 billion.

Icon PLC expects full-year earnings to be $4.60 to $4.80 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.67 billion to $1.73 billion.

Icon PLC shares have decreased 11 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 15 percent in the last 12 months.

  • So, all of that being said, as we look forward to 2016, we believe we have a solid platform in which to build. The $1.9 billion of new business booked in 2015 has given us a healthy trailing 12 months net book-to-bill of 1.2, and our backlog now stands at $3.9 billion. As a result, we expect revenue for the full year 2016 to be in the range of $1.67 billion to $1.73 billion, which represents growth of between 6% to 9.8%. In addition, we expect earnings per share to grow between 15.6% and 20.6% to a range of $4.60 to $4.80.

Before moving to Q&A, I'd like to thank the entire ICON team. Its hard work and commitment have contributed to another successful year for ICON. Thank you, everyone, and we're now ready to take questions.

So, for now, I'm kind of saying we have exited the year above 18%. I expect, if you look at our guidance, there's an implied 19% for the year in 2016, I'm happy with that. I can see the path to that for 2016, and I'll talk a little bit about 2017 when we get closer to it.

    Good luck!
    Sincerely,

Netflix streaming has a good movie called, Best Offer. Even the smart investors can sometimes find others, who out smart them.

ICLR trading pattern surprises me, in less than 25,000 shares the stock can jump more than 2 points. On 100 or 200 shares trade stock jumps 50 cents.

Now that earing surprise is over, let us see if there is a trend, or we are still in trading range.

We need very heavy volume to breakout of this range, which it is lacking.

    Good luck!

  • T is making an up move on high volume and it is a buying opportunity.

THE GRAND STRATEGY OF STOCK TRADING

THE STOCK TELLS YOU THAT IT HAS MADE A BOTTOM OR A TOP BY SACRIFICING A POINT OR SO FOR INSURANCE.

The Most Bullish Looking Chart Patterns

All your buying for maximum profits should be concentrated on stocks having the following types of chart patterns:

    1. Long-term decline followed by a breakout …………………………T is making more than one year
    2. Flat base breakout
    3. Coming off a double bottom
    4. W Pattern
    5. Growth
    6. Cyclical at historic lows

Let us examine each of these separately:

    1. Long-term decline followed by a breakout
This pattern is mentioned first because it is capable of producing the greatest capital gains. The pattern is exactly as described, a long-term decline (the longer the better) followed by an eventual bullish reversal above a previous declining peak. The stock gains an upside impetus commensurate with the duration and extent o f the previous decline. The theory here is that the stock has been so utterly oversold that upon the first evidence of a turn for the better the stock will advance at a greater rate than it previously declined

    6. Cyclical at Historic Lows
This pattern is listed last because it contains the greatest degree of risk, a risk that can only be minimized by an expert judgment of timing factors. If the timing is right, the gains can be very great.

For best results the six key patterns must be geared to the market
Newton would have been fascinated with the stock market as it exists today because he undoubtedly would have enjoyed watching his famous Law of Gravity at work on security prices.

In the past 5 years it has topped around $38…$38.50, This time volume is favorable, and we can expect it to stall around $37.50 -$38.50 for bigger profit taking and consolidation. Let us see if the volume exceed 30 million today.

With more than 5% dividend yield, the reward ratio is very good and even if the stock remains in these levels, we will all do better than majority of the investors.

    Good Luck!

There is overhead supply and end of month window dressing.
We can expect a small trading range to flush out late buyers.

There are new products in the pipe line, and stock should gradually move higher. It is growth company and not technology, so lot of patience is requiring for long term investors. A 5% advance a year can be expected in next few weeks.

There was short covering rally, after the latest news. In this week, the serious investors will return soon. Folks are busy watching Warrant Buffett. Super Tuesday media is giving a good coverage but this will change soon .

There are SEVEN PILLARS OF STOCK MARKET PRACTICE necessary for success.
    1. Determine whether the market is in a "bear" or "bull" trend.
Then determine further whether it is a major, intermediate, or minor trend.
    TRADE WITH THE TREND!

    2. Determine which groups of stocks are the strongest.
TRADE IN STRONG GROUPS FOR ADVANCE! TRADE IN WEAK GROUPS FOR DECLINE!

    3. Select the strongest stocks in these particular groups.
TRADE IN STRONG STOCKS FOR ADVANCE! TRADE IN WEAK STOCKS FOR DECLINE!

    4. BUY ONLY ON REACTIONS-not on advances!
SELL AND SHORT ONLY ON ADVANCES-not on declines!

    5. Place a mental or (if you do not watch the tape) actual stop-loss order of two or three points on your trades.
BE AT ALL TIMES PROTECTED AGAINST POSSIBLE LOSSES!
CLOSE OUT WHEN TRADE GOES AGAINST YOU.

    6. Protect your profits by stop-loss orders. Let your profits grow when you see your stocks advancing.
    HOLD OUT FOR LARGER PROFITS!

    7. Do not hesitate to take your profits; you may be able to re-buy the same stock at lower prices.
SELL WHEN YOU THINK THE MARKET IS DUE FOR A REACTION!
SELL AT THE TOP * * * NOT AT THE BOTTOM
BUY AT THE BOTTOM NOT AT THE TOP

T Stock rallied on VERY HIGH VOLUME and will most likely consolidate at low volume in a trading range.
