ZUCKERBERG'S GREATEST STEAL: Instagram Now Worth $35 Billion, According To Citi
Justin Sullivan/Getty Images Zuckerberg paid what was considered a staggering $1 billion for Instagram in 2012. Instagram is a $35 billion business, according to Citi analyst Mark May.
Mark Zuckerberg gained wide attention for paying what now seems to be a paltry sum of $1 billion for the service back in April 2012.

I try to find Heaven and Hell.
Then I hear a solemn voice that says:
"Heaven and hell are inside.”

"The Universe Within
Discovering the Common History of Rocks, Planets, and People"
From one of the finest and most popular science writers, the best-selling author of Your Inner Fish, comes the answer to a scientific mystery story as big as the world itself: How have astronomical events that took place millions of years ago created the unique qualities of the human species?
In his last book, Neil Shubin delved into the amazing connections between human anatomy—our hands, our jaws—and the structures in the fish that first took over land 375 million years ago. Now, with his trademark clarity and exuberance, he takes an even more expansive approach to the question of why we are the way we are. Starting once again with fossils, Shubin turns his gaze skyward. He shows how the entirety of the universe's 14-billion-year history can be seen in our bodies. From our very molecular composition (a result of stellar events at the origin of our solar system), he makes clear, through the working of our eyes, how the evolution of the cosmos has had profound effects on the development of human life on earth.
“Drink wine and look at the moon
and think of all the civilisations
the moon has seen passing by.”
Omar Khayyam, Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
“Poor soul, you will never know anything
of real importance. You will not uncover
even one of life's secrets. Although all religions
promise paradise, take care to create your own
paradise here and now on earth.”
“How sad, a heart that
does not know how to love, that
does not know what it is to be drunk with love.
If you are not in love, how can you enjoy
the blinding light of the sun,
the soft light of the moon?”
― Omar Khayyam
“To wisely live your life, you don't need to know much
Just remember two main rules for the beginning:
You better starve, than eat whatever
And better be alone, than with whoever.”
― Omar Khayyam
Funny that for some reason Yahoo removing those from Google/Youtube who left these company in 2009. Strange. casp321@yahoo
Of course, at this time, I'm EXCLUDING those from On2 for obvious reasons:
---On2, Skype, Zencoder, Amazon, Microsoft, Google
Hambrecht, Armstrong, Pelosi, Cuban
----UFL, Hantro/On2, Google, USA/Congress, Youtube
Smith Cook/Bill Campbell, Wendell, Page & Schmidt & Brin,
----Intuit, Google, Sierra Venture, On2
“As far as you can avoid it, do not give grief to anyone. Never inflict your rage on another. If you hope for eternal rest, feel the pain yourself; but don’t hurt others.”
― Omar Khayyam
“Your hand can seize today, but not tomorrow; and thoughts of your tomorrow are nothing but desire. Don’t waste this breath, if your heart isn’t crazy, since "the rest of your life" won’t last forever.”
― Omar Khayyam
Wendell, Schmidt, Dai
----Hantro, Verisilicon, Sierra Venture, Stanford University, Google
I BELIEVE that NOT all involved in On2 vs Google SCAM or using Google as an "intelligence" communities tools under Democrats will survive and be able to hold to billions of dollars that they might assume is theirs but their are OBLIGATED to SPEND for differenr undertunnel "intelligence" activities while FINANCING the criminal activities with AGENTs with criminal intention to cause "accident" to KILL. casp321

The Universe Within by Neil Shubin – review
From walking fish to the human eye, life on Earth was shaped by a succession of cosmic accidents
Friday 1 February 2013
We come trailing not Wordsworth's clouds of glory but clouds of primal hydrogen and remnants of a galactic nebula, a fabric of cold stardust and droplets of water more than 4bn years old. We arrive with billions of years of accumulated baggage: with, for instance, an internal waste disposal system first developed in a jawless fish more than 500m years ago; and a body clock determined by the planet's spin as it orbits the sun. Spring fades into summer not because that is the natural order of things, but because the same cosmic collision that chipped off the moon and made it our companion also tilted the coalescing planet off its axis of spin by 23.5 degrees, shifting any fixed spot on Earth towards or away from the sun in its annual orbit.
But even though the direct connections between the wider cosmos and the details of physiology are sometimes difficult to make, this book offers a new, fresh way of telling the story of life, the universe and everything. There are delights in every chapter. At the beginning of the 20th century the exasperated director of the Harvard College Observatory told his staff that he could hire his maid to do their work at half the cost. He liked his threat so much that he actually employed the maid, Williamina Fleming, to examine pictures of the heavens, and catalogue and codify the stars and nebulae. Fleming was joined by other women: the group became known as the Harvard Computers (a reminder that the word is much older than the mainframe) and one of the women, Henrietta Leavitt, in 1912 spotted the link between luminosity and periodicity in a class of stars called the Cepheid Variables.
What I belive is that judge Leonard was INTRODUCED to Vringo vs Google case to PROSECUTE, not judge, Lang and his patents as a "threat to USA national security" considering the MAGNITUDE of Google involvement with USA "intelligence" community and using HACKERS like Marius to access individual DEVICES to collect as much as information they could for the CIA, NSA, ...
Did Google bring the latches issue or it was judge Leonard that by removing jury access to latches issue and judge Jackson by ORDERING counsels not bringing up Google's $67 billion earning in the past few years while BLOCKING Kosak on the last day from testifying seems to be part of the SCHEME. Procecuter Leonard ACTED as this says NOT as a judge and his mind was NOT shifted from prosecuter to judge in the Land case??? casp321@yahoo
USA "intelligence" communities create "enemies" and FABRICATE cases to involve some of their legal EXPERTs in those FABRICATED cases, creating an SPECIAL agent with specific purpose, to use them as the connecting keys in other "intelligence" ILLEGAL and CRIMINAL activities by using proceeds from STOLEN companies like On2/Hantro to FINANCE those INVOLVED in the STEAL. casp321@yahoo

Obviously CROW does NOT know that those with criminal intends would cross the red light running anytime they find an oppotunity ro run CROW over while putting the "nuts," to be cracked on the next run, and cracking the nuts and running crow over at the same time without any mercy. That's why On2 shareholders who are living in Chicago and New York should watch their "crossing" while trying to lay down the "nuts "to be cracked." casp321@yahoo

Former Madoff executive gets 10 years in prison
By LARRY NEUMEISTER
NEW YORK (AP) — Bernard Madoff's ex-director of operations for investments was sentenced Monday to 10 years in prison by a judge who cited the fraud's "smoldering ruins" as she kicked off an eight-day stretch during which she will announce the punishments of four other former Madoff workers.
"You lived a prestigious and luxurious life for decades. We now all know it was supported by a massive fraud," U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain told 67-year-old Daniel Bonventre after she announced his sentence, including an order to forfeit $155 billion. "We all live among the smoldering ruins literally of thousands of lives, yours included."

YouTube offering its stars bonuses
Vessel, a video startup, has been aggressive in trying to lure away celebrities
Vessel, which plans a subscription video service, has been particularly aggressive courting YouTube stars in recent weeks, according to the people familiar with the discussions. Founded by former Hulu Chief Executive Jason Kilar, the company has raised $75 million in venture capital, according to Crunchbase, and is looking to secure programming ahead of a planned launch by the end of the year.
Vessel and others are offering lucrative terms, according to one YouTube content creator who has been approached. “I would like to remain on YouTube,” says this person. “But some of the competing offers are incredibly attractive.”
Three people who have been approached by Vessel say the company wants artists to post videos exclusively on its service for up to three days, part of its plan to offer subscribers an advance look at popular short-form video. One of those people said Vessel offered to pay an advance based on how well the creator’s videos have performed on YouTube.

Google's WebM patent pals agree to share
Seventeen allies agree not to sue each other over WebM-related video encoding patents. Google wants to enlist more to counter MPEG LA's royalty efforts.
by Stephen Shankland
April 25, 2011
Under the effort, members who join agree to license any WebM-related patents to each other, a move that offers mutual reassurance that the technology is royalty-free in practice as well as in Google's aspiration.
"Each grants to the other members a patent license for any patents that may be essential to WebM," said Mike Jazayeri, Google's director of product management for WebM.
