Anyone feeling jilted about the merger, go to Yahoo Finance, type each ticker and look at the EPS.
CSG has a EPS of $0.09 and pays out $0.51per share annual
GPT has a EPS of $1.30 and pays out $0.88 per share annual
Sleep well CSG not. I own both companies GPT, CSG, MNR in my REIT portfolio. Have had GPT several years and before the dividend was reinstated. I have found their management to be visionaries and have turned GPT around. I do know GPT has been adamant in getting a foothold in the European Market of which CSG has in the UK and Germany. What I did was bought GPT and HOLD CG in the bounce lower this week.
To add to BigAl's post, CSG is already established in the UK and Germany, exactly what management is trying to do with GPT. I like the deal, not too sure about the share price of the new company but assume more than the current GPT
Bought VTR again, yah! Also bought on dip GPT which just bought more properties in Orlando today announced, I am not a pumper just a humble investor, if anyone interested in my restaurant portfolio I have Wendy's(WEN) and Burger King (QSR)
buy now! Anywhere below $63, one of the safest REITS out there, sleep well, fuzzy feeling stock. Likely be become boring as time goes on.
Also like GPT, an industrial reit that just got into Europe where there is limited industrial space.
