Don't need commendations, I want to help those that may not have been heard or answer questions that may be unanswer.
One writer wrote about the replenishment system. What light can you shed on the Slim 3 system and the problems we are faced with?
I appreciate your comments and welcome your thoughts both online and off. I think you will find a general frustration here on the board. I have expressed the need to be constructive and have offered assistance in answering questions that often (sorry to say) are unanswered by some store managers to their employees. I know Advance. I am a Store Manager (with the company (or Western Auto) since 1996), my father is a sales person and my mother-in-law is an Inventory Specialist, therefore I think I can speak with knowledge. There is a frustration level being reached and unfortunately for some, it will be a breaking point. I would be glad to explain anything that anyone would like explained. I do not hide my profile, I have said or done nothing wrong. (Not sure why you replied to my message to begin with).
Well beside the fact that you encourage a sell on your own company, check out the compan website for location requiring an AMIT. I have never let someone tell me where they want me to stop on my career path.
You want a bonus...work 50 hrs a week or 60 hrs a week for the same pay every week then you might get a bonus if everything goes right and your sales people do their jobs. I never sit in my office and watch my minions. We work side by side. This company has an open door policy....use it. You, sir, have no idea of the complexities of the position because if you did then you would be the store manager. I feel for you....I run a team, however when the crap hits the big fan...you tale (if you are doing your job) will be intact.
Have you every written a check that just didn't have the money in the bank to cover it? If so, then I understand your confusion, however, just like your personal life, this company cannot write checks (your) that it doesn't have the money to cover. SALES, SALES, SALES will bring payroll back. You want to be angry...be angry at the terrorists and the economy, CEO's that made the stock market distrusting. If you really knew your job and the capabilities of the store, you should know that Full-Time guarantees 30 hours per week....not 40. You never received it in writing from anyone.
I cannot answer your pay raise questions, however, if you attended the most recent store meeting, you probably can see that progress is being made in pay scales.
As for your inventory levels, have your Inventory Specialist do a Maxi change to the required number you require.
Advance carries more parts in stock than any other parts retailer. No we do not have everything and yes we have STUFF (+1 items) but I usually find that I am called when no one else carries it.
Pricing can be solved by emailing one person at home office and if it is an issue, I will be glad to give you her name.
I did find an article from Florida concerning this pricing issue, that you stated, however this is what the article had to say,
"That has been a change for the better, one customer said last week. Elaine Kessler is the purchaser for Maurice's Auto Repair and Towing in Lakeland. She said prices have risen since Advance Auto took over, but the auto parts are better quality."
BRAVO BRAVO....Let's work here to help each other find solutions to problems. As a collective we might be able to. You never know who may be reading these messages!
