It was me. LOL... No, not saying that I am not surprised. I like this stock b/c it's a Winner.
HUH? Go back to WIN and let us know. I thought you were a little smarter than that?
Nice.... Same here. I guess tony has a bone to pick. I see your web site Tony. I thought it was IOWA dodge or something like that, recalling from 3 or so years ago. So now2000p, you are in the game? -- Thanks for the update. Yeah I did the same thing with Caterpillar. Of course my Verizon I always ride that one out until the end. Where is the end. Hey Dinx, if you are reading this I did post over on IBM -- the First time but I couldn't get any updates about the crash plane issue.. Would be curious to think your take since an IBM EXEC was on board. WOW. What messed up country we are living in. Later guys thanks. cd

An American national working for IBM in Malaysia has been identified as one of the passengers traveling aboard the Malaysian Airlines plane that vanished off the coast of Vietnam as new information concerning stolen passports has raised fears that it may have been an act of terror.
Philip Wood, 51, was identified as the only adult passenger traveling on a U.S. passport on Flight MH307. Two other American travelers have been named as toddlers Leo Meng, 2, and Nicole Meng, 4.
Earlier today, two oil slicks were spotted by the Vietnamese air force earlier today, as the major search and rescue operation was launched when the aircraft disappeared shortly after losing contact with air traffic controllers... more
NOW 2000 I had that wrong. lol, I had some income stocks and sold them. I bought back in... Big mistake b/c I had to average down. Truth. As far as FRP, I sold it and after the transaction w/ Verizon / Frontier it was history. My dad held on to his FRP. I if you look it's 13$ however it pays no dividends.......
NOW two Hundred,
Thanks actually I didn't own this stock before it became Frontier.. You will hear this all the time, I wanted the income. Everyone has their own way of investing .. Like I told them over on VZ my dad bought his house with the dividends. True story. As far as bswiththebest he makes a good line and all, however I like accumulating income stocks and dividends. CAT pays dividends too, yes, great stock. Like I've said I have traded in and out of that one but not here... Here, I averaged down which I had no choice otherwise to make money. I don't know what the bone is with dinx and sage, but it is getting rather annoying. Dinx is pretty good over on the IBM board, along with him and Garcie. garce. I don't know why folks have to think they are better or calls out names. I actually like the Dinxster.
haha. Yes, we could go all to mutual funds, but how much fun would that be. Look I've traded in and out of CAT the same thing I did with HPQ back in the ninedees. I LOVE this stock just for the dividends. I LOVE dividend stocks and they've made me a whole bunch of money. I don't think I need to explain myself going forward... I don't day trade. I HOLD and wait a lot of times. However, I couldn't resist CAT.. Back in the 60's/share. That was a no brainer. Just like THIS and VZ at $29. MY opinion only... Please don't get all over me b/c I am an individual investor
Waiting for the Song....It's Friday night so who is first.. Dinxster?....Hey I like you folks. Q: Why does Sage have a hard on for Dinx all of a sudden
You had to tell us that. So Now go away short?. I can be you best friend too. Why is it shorts want to tell us how much money they have made..
OK. Here's how you make Money. first of all, you work your whole life and invest in a 401K. Then when you retire you roll that over to an IRA. Once in the IRA, you roll over the money again at 591/2 years old you roll it all again ask Barack Obama. He takes your monies and goes on CNBC and distributes your wealth to the solar panel companies. -- Distributed between solar panels and China. Then you go on food stamps and live under the government. B/C that's being a good citizen. and that is being FAIR.
From the CAT board - I believe he's got a point. I like him ---
If you're long, go there. If you're short then stay here.
You have no clue about where Cat is in it's business cycle. The next move is clearly up. Europe is recovering from it's recession, China will continue to grow at a staggering but albeit slightly lower rate. The US is growing steadily and will remain in the 2.5 - 4% GDP growth range. The bottom for Cat in this cycle is in and we'll see growth in demand from here.
Companies don't pay dividends or buy back shares based upon their profit, they do it based based upon their available cash. Cat is flush with cash. They had record free cash flow last year and probably will again this year. Cat has increased their dividend payout every year for 20 years. They will not jeopardize that record just to manipulate the stock price for buy back reasons. That kind of behavior would alienate their shareholders and likely cost the CEO and the CFO their jobs if not their freedom. That's the kind of behavior you'd expect from an small cap amateur. A Fortune 50 corporation would never do that.
Plenty of companies have cut their dividends to preserve cash during tough times but not when FCF is at record levels. I suspect Cat will announce another dividend increase in July. Probably another $0.08 - $0.10 per quarter on top of the $1.7 billion Q1 buy back on top of last years' $2.0 billion. Sweet! Less
NICE, thanks cd
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I am not going anywhere. There are too many dividends to be had. ha. Oh wait, You have to pay those. I forgot.........
