CAT may be going lower... Tied to oil prices = lower demand for CATS needed .. Robertb I've seen CAT as low as $69 ... I bought at $75 and $89.50 respectively. Still holding on due to the div.. If the market keeps going down and CAT gets back down to $69 again, I would be a strong buyer of it. Plus the CEO doesn't pull any punches, he says it like it is.

De-list on NYSE coming... Should be if it isn't already. What a joke... And to you managers: You should be proud of what is transpiring? Please learn how to run a company.

It was on CNBC today. Mandy drury made her usual comment about biotech and then she had some woman on from California who showed no emotion.... It went down like this ... Mandy : "Got to watch out for biotech in 2015." California girl "Yes, I would be very weary of Biotech in 2015." -- OK Buy signal. I just threw another 25k into it, as other do. "You watch cnbc for the fun of it, not for the investing of it." There's a difference. That's my quote for the year. ha.

What it is, if you take everything CNBC says and do the opposite, you will win... Guaranteed. Every time. ha

So, Obama still thinks North Korea was behind the attacks. Okay...... By the way, I do have some land in Florida. I'll let you purchase it if you promise not to hack into the bank of Sony... Since when did we trust anything that comes out of this government, -- "Before you diss, remember this" - Follow the money. It was a contest between the sony ceo and president o for a few days .. guess who won? Guess which branch of gov works for o.. Yes, you already figured it out.

.. Just like over at Verizon. Some lady didn't pay her bill then she wonders why customer service looks at her "funny." when she calls in... Oh the malarkey of it all. What cha' think arroz_33.

IMO RadioShack stopped being creative when they stopped manufacturing products. I just remember the Realistic Brand and the Optimus brand. Yes, creativity all the way. NO I didn't say I was agreeing with them. You might be OK with the product I just don't think TANDY cares. Maybe they do. So when are you flying down to Ft. Worth... I don't mean to come off wrong. I know sometimes I do but I just know how it works... They'll look at your product and say "Oh that's nice." Thanks for stopping by. Verizon was the same way. They had an agenda and nothing you say or could have did would have prevented it.

  • cd_iso cd_iso Jan 2, 2015 9:43 PM Flag

Show them. Can't hurt. , I think things have went on for too many years now.. Too many echelon's concerned about real-estate and what a product may be worth. As I know, it takes solid management working for the same goals as the employee. Don't get me wrong. It can be done. Not just under the current structure. RadioShack should maybe drop the name "shack" or re-name it to We-Want-to-Be-Your-Radio-Again. There are endless possibilities but they keep on with the same ole' thing.... Obviously that isn't working. Look here .

  • I think that is where they lost their footing... Sure, I can look at your Holiday AD [which I did,] Dr. Dre Beats for 159... Ended up on Amazon for $129.

In all fairness, I do have a set of Optimus speakers, 15" polypro woofer, mids and tweet and they are as great as they were back in 1982 that I bought for $400 at the time. They will give Klipsch a run for their money, even today. They used to build great products. ..

2015 is the year of the goose... Their Goose is cooked. I too walked by many-a-Radioshack, on the way to get a haircut etc. Lots of pretty lights in there however nothing going on, except for maybe someone in there talking to each other. Strip mall Big Lots was packed. The department store was crowded... RadioShack... Well... it was not relevant. This happened two weeks ago in south east Ohio. Shame what could have been a great store. To clarke: I know what it takes to maintain a store, we paid 1500 rent/month. I am surprised you are still in business. Sorry. But you guys brought it on yourselves, right?

There was an article, here on YHOO finance, something about the companies that are destined to go under in 2015... Same companies, Sears, JCP, RSH, ACrombie, etc.. But what I keyed on were the comments for RSH. Everyone said the same thing... BRING BACK THE KITS... Now, I have to give poor clarke credit for working there this many years.. Apparently his thoughts too fell on deaf ears... How much monies could be made on those.. at 59.99 or 79.99 and what would be the cost to produce... Maybe 35$. That's why I say RSH dug their own grave here. Also, speaking of ham radio... What about some classes. Get with the ARRL clarke and have them meet at a store once a week. And speaking of those kits, why not put out a marketing flyer trying to get folks interested again. See what I mean about missing the boat? Several opportunities but they chose the cellular route which is a throw-away product.

  • cd_iso cd_iso Jan 2, 2015 6:33 PM Flag

clarke ok I won't argue with you there, However ... RadioShack missed the boat when they tried to go into other tech stuff they had no business being in... Cell phones. Leave that to Verizon. Glimmering lights. Leave that to somebody else too. You guys could have bought Heathkit. I built several of them in the day and I miss it. I am just saying there is a niche here if you just figure it out. I know the internet has taken away 75% if not more... However, if Verizon can do it so can you. However, it does take the right management and the right structure. Think OUT OF THE BOX. B/C what I am hearing, your CEO only cares about modelling after TMobile and Verizon/ATT. That is not the way to do it IMO

  • cd_iso cd_iso Jan 2, 2015 4:29 PM Flag

I walked in last week b/c I needed a capacitor, 1000uf. The guy just pointed to the back of the store, where I found a drawer of sorts with hopefully the one I needed. I found it! Hay! $2.69 for a .69c part but it was worth my time. I fixed my DVD player. I think if RadioShack got back to their roots they might do a lot better. There are still people out there who would pay to get it right now whether than wait. Also cater more to the ham radio community. Bring back the old RadioShack and kits and things you were known for ..or close it down... IMO

Garce -- Happy days! It's like my grandpa used to say, a story when little johnny went to the neighbor's house after Christmas. Little johnny peeked in, looked at the remaining Christmas presents and exclaimed "We didn't get much neither."

Ever heard of a tracking number? If you order online you should know this.... Also you cannot go to a brick and mortar a lot of the time since pricing between online and brick is different. It's called "promo." Good luck
