Don't try to figure it out. It's all just one big Casino. Bad news, good news, no news, doesn't matter. Bubble stocks rule. QE will probably last forever. Total insanity.
It's all just one big Casino. Good news, bad news, no news, doesn't matter. QE is forever. Stock Market is the only game in town. Fundamentals mean nothing. Bubble stocks rule. Completely insane.
Numbers and reality have nothing to do with the price of this stock. People are just placing bets in the world's largest casino.
When is the last time the markets made sense? "Rome is burning" and the market goes over 13,000. Just how bad must things become in this country before the stock market reflects the true value of wealth. Everything is bet on stimulus and handouts from banks and newly printed money. The only values for stocks is not growth or earnings anymore, but just whether or not the stock price can be forced up or down, depending on whatever bet that is made at that tIme. Even during the bubble markets, it seems easier to predict trends. Discouraging.
I'm also looking for an entry point to buy. Good customer base and a very necessary metal product line. A somewhat high long term debt though.
It sounds like you may be right regarding the intervention of the PPT. There is no other explanation for the reversal in the markets today. It looks like the various buying forced the shorts to cover and then buy back the very shares they were shorting. Does anyone else have a better idea as to what happened?
If they really do have a new offering and run the price up, this will be one of the best stocks I've seen in a long time to short.
competition happened, at all levels, games, bad movies. music industry down, etc. But it's not just Sony, it's the whole industry.
