GE is rapidly becoming one of the "Dogs of the DOW," today Dow Jones hit a new higher and GE in the red. Not good.
...much profit-taking. eom.
Why not just call them mutts...come on, give the guy credit. If he was white he would have been president much sooner.
Won't pop at the open...inside information has already leaked...it's sell on the news.
Yeah...when a deep-pocket like FB shows a weakness...the sharks (attorneys) start circling the waters.
No big deal. European customers have no idea what a class action is. The customers will make $60,000 and the attorneys will make several million. A drop in the bucket for FB.
In any demonstration in the SF-Oakland Bay Area, people need to keep an eye out for professional demonstrators and/or looters. Looters are more prevalent in LA. The professional demonstrators break into stores and steal hoping to provoke a confrontation with the police. The looters come in later while the police are looking the other way.
In the SF Bay Area which includes Oakland, plenty of professional demonstrators and agitators.
The police are forced to show constraint because they're worried Police Dept. will be sued for using unreasonable force. Also, we're talking about controlling a mob here. Nowadays, if physical force is used, it's possible that the mob will get more unruly and difficult to control. If store windows are smashed, that is the lesser of two evils. Most of the damage will be covered by insurance. The other possibility, is use physical force and a riot might occur.
True, but what do you do about the situation the employer is obviously taking advantage of an illiterate employee. How do you insure that the worker isn't exploited by big money? Currently the hot legal issue is the dispute between McDonald's and their franchises. From what I understand, there was a dispute over the payment of overtime hours between an employee and a franchise owner.
This case was pending before the NLRB. The employee sued both the franchise owner and McDonald's the corporation as joint venturers. And for the first time ever the NLRB found in favor of the employee. You better believe that McDonald's is going to appeal.
The employer has little or no incentive to set a minimum wage. That leaves Big Brother.
Give us the link, I don't believe you. At least he's not accusing Carter of treason. It's not treason because there are terrorists in many countries. In order for there to be actionable treason, Carter needs to betray us to a particular country. Terrorism isn't any particular country.
You are way off-base on this. Robin Williams wasn't about money, he had far more than he needed. Right now, let the talking heads talk. Out of respect reserve judgment until some date in the future when the public has some perspective.
