Here’s how I see it with latest 8k filed on 3/14.
The driller got the money together and paid NORC the $25,000 to get started on the drilling of the first well. And 2 months from now the driller will be paying NORC an additional $15,000 a month for the next 9 months, with a balloon payment of another $210,000 paid on or before 3/14/15. So, NORC will have received from the driller a total $370,000by the year end date of 3/14/15. After this, NORC will be paid by the driller an addition sum of $1,015,000 within the next 12 months. With success from this well, if indeed it is successful, NORC will also be receiving a 35.60% of net revenues from the well.
NORC will then be receiving (2 years down the road) another $1,015,000 from the driller, plus a working net interest in the 2nd well of 32.80%. And the same for the 3rd. If the driller exercises other options they have before them (not detailed in the 8K) the total income net interest to NORC will become 20%
The monies thru this all process will be used by NORC for further expansions of property for more wells.
Even with the rise of 20% in the stock price from 20 cents to 24 cents, the two year horizon looks pretty good for such a low priced stock. I’ve added already and probably will again every time the stock doubles from this price (I prefer to average up rather than down).
On the 20th. I currently own 2300 shares. That's over a $2,200 divy that's gonna be rolled into more shares. I realize it would really be better for me if the stock was selling under 35 on the 20th., since I'm in the stock for income, not capital gains. So, go lower will ya?
Looking back on SDRL's dividend history and seeing that all of 2014 is booked at 94%, and the CC stating that they are starting a fund to give shareholders a special dividend, and noting they have done this in the past on December 4th 2012,(1.70 a share divy) I predict, looking through my crystal ball, that in Dec 2014 a special dividend that doubles the current 98 cents will take place. Be there, or be square!
company that is putting money aside to pay their shareholders special dividends and to purchase more shares of their companyy on the open market? I want to invest in those other companies also.
Here's what my 1600 shares of SDRL is now providing me in my IRA.
Tax free dividends and the ability to withdraw from my IRA after I retire $522.66 a month without having to touch the principle. Since I haven't retired and am having all my dividends rolled into more shares each quarter, the amount of money I will be able to withdraw should grow even higher. If you can imagine owning 3600 shares which would allow the dividends to purchase 100 more shares each quarter until you retire, then go for it! Imagine it first, then set about doing it!
today giving me a total of 1500 shares at a average price of 35.81 a share. The current loss I have in the stock will be erased with the first dividend. It will be alot easier to add more shares to reach 2000 if the stock continues to hang around 33-35 a share. Hopefully it stay down here till at least after the 20th of March payout date.
I could of hoped for in my quest of owning 2000 shares. A rise in dividend , coupled with a lower stock price.
The only adjustment you need now is between your ears. Think not of how much your portfolio is worth, but how much income is being produced each quarter from your portfolio. Understanding the blessings of your dividend purchasing more shares each quarter, at a higher dividend yield, goes a long way to aid you in your retirment years.
Of course I'm adding at these levels, but I'm also hoping they remain around here come around the dividend pay out date of March 20th.
I think it is acting (trading) just like it did between 1.90 and 2.04, before it took off to 2.60 to 2.75. So, I think it is going to keep trading between 2.55 to 2.70 or so, then (since the trend is your friend) it runs up to 3.35 to 3.50.
HSB somebody or other just upgraded SDRL from neutral to overweight. I added 70 more shares yesterday at 36.49 giving me 1150 shares. My plan is to own 2000 shares, but if we are heading back up to 45 in an almost overnight scenario I think I would be hardpressed not to take the 10,000 profit and head for the hills.
Thanks, I'm one of them. My scalp is covered with flakey scales, as well as all the crevices on the body, anywhere the skin overlaps. Cornors of my eyes, sides of my nose, cornors of my lips, armpits, belly button, private parts. I use steroid creams to keep everything in check for years now and am afraid to use anything else due to possible side effects. I'm not only an owner of shares, I'm hoping for THE CURE.
Since Jan 27 of this year. Started buying at 37.98, then on down to 34.16. Started with buying 98 shares and now own 1070, making 7 purchases. Looks like to me we have a short term triple bottom in at around 35.49. My goal is 2000 shares and I will be having all the dividends from the shares I own rolled back into more shares each quarter. As long as they at least maintain their dividend, with my program of rollong my dividends into more shares, I'm better off the lower the stock price goes, allowing my dividends to purchase more shares each quarter. So for the next couple of years I would rather the shares stay around the 35 dollar range , rather than start heading back to the 45 dollar range, which is more than likely to happen within the next 3 months. I guess I really don't give a !@#$. which direction it goes.
I started buying after reading NRM Holdings added 500,000 to their portfolio, now owning 3,625,000 shares and INTREXON added 2,000,000 shares, now owning 8,675,268 shares. If that isn't a bullish sign I don't know what is.. anyway I'm added to my portfolio, too! Now own 7,850 shares on my way to 10,000.
Did the e-mail state if the company drilling the wells is big enough to start drilling all 3 wells at the same time, or will it be done one after the other? Would be ideal if they were a large enough company to begin drilling all 3 wells at the same time. The sooner revenues start coming in the faster NORX will be able to expand. With the revenues from 3 weels maybe the next 3 wells will have a 50/50 split instead of 20/80. To dream on alittle further, the 7,8 and 9 wells may have NORX on the 80/20 recieving end.
