News is what we are all waiting for... when it comes, it will be good.
Intermune's lung fibrosis drug is about to get FDA approval, already selling in Europe. US sales expected about $1 B. INO has got to get to this stage of development.
Is Intermune's $8.3B market cap for sales of about $1B a reasonable deal?

1.75 million shares? That pales compared to GoPro founder with 53 million shares at about $40/sh. But I guess you can't cure cancer with a GoPro.

In other posts I calculated the number of T-cell response from the DNA-electroporation and it came out to be a little more than 9 million T cells per person per vaccine. Give at least 10 vaccines+electroporations simultaneously and we get closer to 100 million T cells per person for those 10 shots. Still far from the 90 billion T cells that were developed in vitro and reinfused back into a metastatic cancer patients to result in reduction and/or remission. But 10 times better than the recent Phase 2 trial response.
Multiple simultaneously administered DNA + electroporation vaccines for a better immune response and result... Remember, you heard it from me.
Electroporation allows uptake of the DNA vaccine material at the LOCAL ELECTROPORATION SITE where both are administered. Here is the limitation of electroporation: There is NO OTHER UPTAKE OF THE DNA MATERIAL ANYWHERE ELSE because only the electroporation site induces the uptake.. Also there is no antibody immune response as there is with the standard protein-based vaccine. Our DNA vaccine produces a T-cell response.
To overcome this limitation I have posted the idea to give the damn vaccine several times simultaneously so there is much more DNA uptake and much more T cell response. Has anyone asked the INO team about this limitation and if several vaccines given simultaneously would overcome this limitation? People do get body tattoos, you know.
But the damn vaccine requires electroporation to get some of the cells at the electroporation site to uptake the DNA material which then promotes the T cells we want. There is NO OTHER UPTAKE OF THE DNA MATERIAL OTHER THAN AT THE ELECTROPORATION SITE. This is not similar to a protein based vaccine when antibodies are made in response to the circulating injected protein. Think about that difference.
Solution: Give the DNA vaccine to multiple sites with electroporation at multiple sites. Some people tattoo there whole body you know.
I tried in vain to sell WTW stock short at $24 and higher in the after-hours to lock in my call option profits (ie I was going to exercise my calls tomorrow during trading to cover those short sales). But my brokerage said they did not have any shares available to short !! That sounds like #$%$ Interactive Brokers must have hundreds of thousands of investors and no one is holding any WTW on margin??!?!? #$%$.
Yes, I'm not a patient guy. INO is my small cap play. As is OPK. But at least OPK founder and CEO is buying shares again and again and again etc. Even my REGN shares are being gobbled up by Sanofi by the hundreds of thousands of shares again and again, etc. And where is Roche now... sitting on the sidelines.
That is not a good sign.
I just learned that to take advantage of the Tax Inversion, a buying coming has to buy a company with a market cap that is at least 25% of its own market cap. That leaves JAZZ out of the picture for companies worth more than 4 times its own 8.8Billion market cap.
electroporation is causing LOCAL enhanced uptake of the vaccine. You are relying on electroporation to get your damn vaccine into the immune system cells. If it was a standard vaccine the immune reponse occurs over days and weeks as your body responds to the stimulating factor given... ie does NOT need electroporation. BUT WE DO NEED ELECTROPORATION just to get some of our stimulating factor IN TO THE IMMUNE CELLS, because otherwise the body does not respond to our vaccine.
SO GIVE THE DAMN VACCINE MORE OFTEN OR SIMULTANEOUSLY.
Tattoo two arms if that's what it takes to generate huge T cell response.
NOT much response to this question !! It is a reasonable question !! GIve the damn vaccine more than one time simultaneously to generate even more T cell response than one single vaccine.
Seems to me the local electroporation is just that... local. Why not give more vaccines at one time?

You don't need to know who is in which group. You only need to know how many in the placebo group and how many in the treatment group. Usually studies try to have an equal number in each group. If that is the case, you only need to know the total number of patients in the group and the total number of remissions.
