Consider that AF is part of the Cramer team. He usually has an agenda with any of his hype or bashing. He sometimes bashes while his friends build large positions. Time will tell.
There is nothing they wouldn't do to jerk a stock around. The SEC seems non-existent in this area.
What an idiotic comment. Obviously new funds are needed to advance the development but moving down the road toward possible approval moves valuation metrics on a geometric scale in the valuation models used in the industry. Even a small piece of a multi-billion dollar pie is large.
AVXL is bringing new life to ALZ science as opposed to more of the same.
Bashers try to compare AVXL with plays with failed or no science. Even a Company as solid as ISIS went through attacks of doubt. A few loyal holders, me included, rode that one through the droughts and storms.
That was a hyped IPO and a short squeeze. They have dusted off old science and are doing confirming trials.
I agree with you but they didn't need the coordinated hit pieces calling the results "meaningless" when the top minds in the world were using "encouraging". They could have focused on the stock being ahead of itself in early stage which is probably true.
Many of the brightest minds in ALZ research in the world were tweeting words of encouragement from Barcelona. Why impede this effort? Go pick on someone raising prices on generics by 5000% and you can make the case for drawing attention to the issue. Shorting this is like "Socially Unconscience" investing.
And giving the families of 32 ALZ patients and countless test mice (for you placebo effect bashers) hope.
