if oil goes away, then so do drugs, plastics, most lubricants, chemicals and a few other things. we're toast without oil. the economy ends without oil and it's components.
I agree. the only good the Chinese are is making egg rolls. yummy
it bothers me that aria fell from 8's to 5's. granted, all bios are down. but this one is really weak. maybe someone knows some news that isn't public yet.
the stock is selling at 17. doesn't mean the company is worth 17. ever hear of intrinsic value? go frok yourself and all of your bashing. destroying people's lives will cost you in the end.
I'm getting crushed having bought last summer (2014). But Loews bought a bunch at the 33-34 range and now in the low 20's (4.9MM worth). So they got caught off guard. They have money and should offer $45 and buyout DO. By 2020, DO will be over 100 with oil being normal by then. They'll double (at the minimum) money and look really good in 4 years. Smart move. Will they do it??? doubt it.
RIG and DO were down due to the PBR bs. if that news (bs news) didn't hit, RIG would have been 14-15 and DO in the 21 area at least. They went down on the news and shorts pounded it more. Oil can hit 200 a barrel next week and RIG won't click 13 and DO 19. News is too bad. They did nothing but the market is stupid and in control.
same here. after august, roads are packed again in the morning and after work. What gets me is these drillers are so far down. it will take 5-10 years for RIG to hit 50's, DO 50's, NE 40's, SDRL 30's. the market has killed this industry. wish someone with deep pockets would buy one driller. Others will rise very fast.
I got mine yesterday too. and bought 1000 shares near 14 today (and more DO at 20's) all to have dropped like a rock in water after 330pm. screw WS. Hope these crooks burn in hell.
maybe so. I reread his post again 2x. He's right that there is very little of the natural abundance so when they deuterate or put C13, it's technically a new molecule. He talks more about isomers than the deuterium. For the record, I don't own any. just an organic chemist with 25 years in pharma chiming in. I think vrtx is way overvalued so I"m happy for concert's find. I'd have to look at the structure of the compound but there are ways to fish out one enantiomer over the other. can be costly though.
that's not true. when they do the synthesis, they label the compound with deuterium in place of hydrogen. so you have to have a good place to locate the deuterium and have a cheap source of the reagent needed to do the reaction. hope this helps.
I still think with the current pipeline, they need one more drug to be approved for a buyout. then they get 4B or so. Until then, they might get offers but not over 3B. but hey, what do I know. Just my 2 cents
