    畅游王一:重度游戏也适用于手游 市场空间广阔-搜狐IT

As reported by the above SOHU IT news, TLBB 3D is expected to gross 220 million RMB in the first month, says CYOU's game division managing personel, Wang Yi. )CYOU's net should be 50% of this, as the other half goes to platform operatos such as Apple, Qihu, Baidu, UC9you, etc.) The game was made with 40 to 50 people at Changyou in several months, and only with 10 million RMB budget. That is really amazing!

CYOU has several more mobile games near release, and several more under development. Mobile net revenue is expected to be equivalent of half of PC game revenue in Q3 of 2015 (mobile gross is expected to be equal to PC game revenue), according Wang Yi. That is really nice.

  • According to Chinese press (see below), CYOU's new mobile game, TLBB 3D, has grossed over 200 million RMB in the first 4 weeks of opening (Oct. 29 to Nov 26). That is equivalent of $30 million, of which CYOU will net about 50% (a little over 50% in fact) as its own revenue. The other 50% will go to various mobile platforms. If the second month will be the same, then CYOU's Q4 revenue will most likely have $30 million revenue from the new mobile game. This is quite significant, as CYOU was able to expand the TLBB title from PC to mobile. The nice part is that the PC version of TLBB also expanded at the same time, according to the earnings conference call in early November.

CYOU's other mobile game, Qin Shi Ming Yue had 20 million RMB gross in its first month (from Android platforms alone, as its iOS version was not released until the second month of running). Thus it will probably contribute around $5 million revenue for CYOU in Q4. (Again, about half of its gross does not go to CYOU.)

There is report of personnel cut at CYOU, after Wang Tao was forced to resign early November. A CYOU veteran, Wang Yi, stated in a press report that it is unrealistic for CYOU to run a mobile game platform. It is good that CYOU is becoming realistic on its platform dream.

1 Hopefully, CYOU will have a resolution on the big spending plan on its game platform, after the CEO resigned (according to a SOHU press release in Chinese hours ago).
2 The mobile game TLBB 3D was released last week. It is doing excellent including revenue or reviews. Potentially gross earning $200 million per year. This proves CYOU capable of making blockbuster mobile games.
3 Earnings in 2015 or 2016 can return to $5+ per share.
Good time to get in. Price target $60 or above.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
