Fuelcells should be the basic power supply for the important buildings with the grid used as backup. I have never heard of natural gas supply being interrupted whereas I have heard about power lines going down in storms, snow and ice.
The Street said nothing about the Carbon Capture other than reporting the FCEL news release. The D rating has zero to do with the carbon capture. Therefore the Street has said nothing about Cabon Capture since
liar I just read Bloomberg story, adds 2c to electricity cost
For example, at a 500-megawatt coal plant that produces power at about 6 cents a kilowatt-hour, adding 400 megawatts of fuel cells would capture 90 percent of emissions and increase the cost to about 8 cents a kilowatt-hour, Bottone said. Including a federal investment tax credit that applies to power from fuel cells and other clean technologies, would lower that to about 7.5 cents.
