A nice bounce back for LOGI of over 4% today. This was inevitable with the large number of shorts covering and planned company share buyback. Anyone who bought at 13.6 got a bargain.

The fact that Microsoft has announced Office for iPad and this keyboard related patent both coming to our attention within days of each other, seems to be more coincidence than anything else. The patent is about multi-touch on what happens to be a keyboard/cover configuration but there is no IP claim on keyboard/cover combination. It was filed 2 years ago long before Microsoft starting thinking about supporting non-Windows based tablets. While the release of Office on iPad may justify Apple to start looking at providing an integrated keyboards, the patent is no evidence of this having been a long term strategy - in my opinion.

I get this feeling this is part of a "patent forest" approach - search US patent office for Wayne Westerman and you will find dozens of multi touch patents. The author has multiple multi-touch and gesture patents covering touch screens. As they can also be applied to an attached keyboard, he is just extending the patent to the keyboard to prevent/protect his ideas being implemented there rather than on the touch screen. My personal opinion, is it doesn't make sense for the iPad to have multi touch input on a keyboard when you can have it also on a screen. So I think this would cover probably use on a cheaper device which lack a touch sensitive screen. I personally can't see Apple going down that non-premium route for a while, and so I don't expect a Logitech competitive keyboard cover product to come out from them in the near future. JMHO

Apple has a bluetooth iPad keyboard already.since approx. Oct 2009. Logotech's differentiator is it combines it's bluetooth keyboard for the iPad into a cover. I'm sure this is something Apple could have done themselves a long time ago, but maybe it just doesn't fit in with their design aesthetics.

minnytjg594: Can you explain how you lost $28k in the 1 minute since you posted the similar message on the previous thread saying you are up $70k this month trading LOGI, and the market hasn't even opened yet, and pre-market trading is up 5-6%.
All I can think of is either you are a fantacist or simply making up messages to promote a web site how is paying you to post here.
