No crying here, if an investor buys a REIT, they buy it for the dividend, "Nothing else" They don't want to see a lowered dividend whatsoever! AGNC is the place for share buybacks. If you want to sell because you want buybacks that is your choice.

exactly! look at AGNC, Doing share buybacks and had to lower the dividend by 10% whereas NLY has NOT lowered the dividend for the past year and is maintaining it's payout to shareholders... which is the sole reason why one invests in REITS "for the dividend!
Be happy with the NLY dividend, if not, move to AGNC as "They buyback shares"
