There is some speculation out there about a SB/Dish deal. I think it makes a lot of sense. I don't think a TMUS deal is desirable.
That is a pretty big assumption there mister mensa. I haven't "lost" anything in this stock. I have stated this is a speculative play for me, not an investment. I have an sub penny average on both classes, as I am sure others do as well. By all means, get on that soapbox and spout the truth. Have we seen you on a CNBC panel as a special guest? They frequently opine on securities they have no direct financial interest in.
Pat yourself on the back all you want, but I won't concede defeat and you can't claim victory until the gavel is pounded and the stock is cancelled. I gave up arguing the points with your team long ago.
Jersey you are such a smart guy. Why do you have to rely on ad-hominem attacks so frequently? Typically, that is not a hallmark of intelligence.

No new #LightSquared bankruptcy plan in docket yet, despite last night's deadline. Is it Phil's or Charlie's fault this time?
IF.. and I do mean IF.. This is in any fashion tied to LS2, I would think we would get a clue when the plan is disclosed. As a TSTRQ holder, I still believe there is a slim chance that a plan could give some consideration to the Terrestar commons as well. Most of that LS2 spectrum that Charlie claims to be worth 8-9 billion was robbed from that company.
You wouldn't think it takes this long to dot the i's and cross the T's in a standard fare Chapter 7, but who knows.. I have given up on trying to guess the timing. They have drug this thing out for so long, it appears that they can do whatever they wish. As for Dish, they have to act fairly soon. They are on the clock with the FCC. They are indicating that we won't know anything until after the November spectrum auction, but I am sure they are currently deeply embroiled in negotiations so a deal could come at any time.
Falcone was never gonna get it done, imo. He's a poser that got lucky with one good bet on shorting the housing market at its peak. Harbinger rode that wave for a long time, but now they will have to step aside and let the real players take over.
Wow. Ergen is a shrewd SOB. He has to be one of the smartest players out there.
It does not match the BLIAQ/BLIBQ share count although it is close. (227M vs 219M) I believe that BLIAF is simply the US tracking symbol for BA on the TSX. I would love to be wrong, I just don't see any legitimate blockbuster connection.
I realize what you are saying and the relationship is very odd with the cross quotes and similar outstanding share count. However, I urge you to go look at BA on the Toronto exchange. When you convert back into US dollars, it is the same share price and market cap as the tracking symbol bliaf on the OTC market. I don't think there is much to that theory that they are connected.
In my opinion, there is no way Charlie is selling only the spectrum unless he has a different buyer for the walking dead sat tv business. Dish has a bleak future without the spectrum, or the partnerships they can forge using it as a bargaining chip.
Maybe VZ does buy the whole thing after all. This behavior at the LS2 mediation is very odd though as SPSO debt was already going to be subordinated per judge chapman. I presume they would have worked out the amount in the mediation.
As required by the ATT/DTV merger. AMX is already partnered with Dish in Latin America so this would avoid a potential conflict. Hey Carlos, since you already have that fat checkbook out....
Maybe my impression is incorrect, but I understand that suite of applications to be akin to walking into a verizon wireless store and having an agent with a tablet being able to help you at any point in the store, not just behind a counter with a computer. i.e. they can pull your account info, check inventory on available handsets, take your credit card info, etc.
Alpha bay appears to have assets that enhance in-store efficiency/productivity. I'm not sure how that that would have been accretive to blockbuster in an environment sans bricks and mortar.
