You guys are like a pack of small yipping dogs.
You never discuss issues.
You never discuss performance.
You never discuss technology.
Why? You don't know anything about them...
Is that 3 or 4 times you've posted this since Friday? Why not just get a megaphone and run down the street screaming "I'm desperate!" ???
On a public message board that MILLIONS can view, only one person in the entire world thinks he's an idiot. He's bashed ARM from 21 to 44 and only ONE person out of MILLIONS thinks he's dumb. Every alias that calls him out for his ignorance is ONE PERSON. Funny stuff.
........an Intel solution that MIGHT come in 2013.
Meanwhile, Qualcom just kicked Intel's butt again with a HUGE Samsung win.
....for shutting Backbacker up with one littel sentence.
Alexander said: It also means that QCOM has a better solution if you want to buy their Snapdragon chip with LTE integrated
7 million Snapdragons about to be sold by Qualcom, yet the Intel pumpers won't admit that Intel is getting GUTTED by Qualcom.
Alexander, thank you for shutting this bacbacker up. He flat out lies to support his long position. His rants on Intel TV are epic.
He added that he expects the first mobile phones with Intel supplied LTE capability to have launched early in 2014 at about the time of the Mobile World Congress
Who's gonna buy enough ACER phones to make ANY sort of dent in the market, buffoon !
Otelini, himself let the cat out of the bag and said Intel had NO VIABLE LTE SOLUTION untill at least MCW next year. Doesn't matter what is being said now about throwing a solution together. You bash big.little from ARM but turn around and pump some LTE #$%$ Intel is trying to throw together. The bottom line is that they have NOTHING than can gain wins from Qualcom until at LEAST middle of next year. They just missed out on the Samsung business because they have nothing! Khitchdee said it best:
Intel doesn't have integrated 4G/LTE until 14nm which is end of 2014 at the earliest. Till then they can't compete with Qualcomm's S600 and S800 for the remainder of the Android smartphone market outside of Samsung.
So just 2 months ago, the CEO said no LTE until 2014 but you are saying a month later he changed his mind? That's a load of BS, man.
Intel says no LTE integration until 2014
1/28/2013 7:21 AM EST
LONDON – Intel Corp. is making progress with its development of LTE modems but does not expect to have an integrated LTE modem and application processor until 2014, according to CEO Paul Otellini.
When asked specifically about integration of LTE modem circuitry with a mobile application processor such as the Atom during an analysts' conference call held to discuss Intel's fourth quarter 2012 financial results, Otellini said: "In terms of integrated solutions, you'll see higher levels of integration from us next year."
During the call, Otellini said Intel was shipping a data-only mode LTE modem IC to customers and that a data-and-voice multimode modem would ship during the course of 2013. He added that he expects the first mobile phones with Intel supplied LTE capability to have launched early in 2014 at about the time of the Mobile World Congress.
The lack of an integrated baseband modem and processor for mobile applications puts Intel some way behind Qualcomm Inc. (San Diego), which already offers integrated LTE capability in its Snapdragon line of application processors. Other companies with chips that integrate the application processor with the baseband modem include Renesas Mobile with its MP6530 and ST-Ericsson NV with its NovaThor L8580 ModAp chip implemented in 28-nm fully-depleted silicon on insulator process technology.
Intel's wireless capabilities are largely derived from the company’s acquisition of the wireless business unit of Infineon Technologies AG (Munich, Germany) completed in January 2013.
Otellini said the former Infineon team is making good progress in LTE: "We believe we have a very competitive solution. The Infineon team is known for not necessarily being first to market, but being really good at engineering a very solid solution and being cost effective and cost competitive and I think that they are doing a very good job with respect to this product." He added
Intel says they will ship multimode 4G LTE solutions "in first half of this year".
Pretty sure this is not right as Otelini, himself said no LTE this year. Didn't he?
Claiming Surface Pro is a dud and RT good? Just ask Samsung, HP, etc. what THEY think of RT. LMAO! Wow, you are BEYOND desperate to not admit that RT was a disaster.
He forgot to show you the stat about how he said ARM was dying last September and is up almost 100 percent since then. Wallisweaver is the dubious internet troll who somehow is right 100 percent of the time, even when a stock goes up 100 percent from when he said it was dead. You can't make this insanity up. He's wasting his time, but his time is worthless so it doesn't phase him.
It was no big deal when ARM moved up from 22 to 44, but it's HUGE when it moves down from 44 to 42. Folks, you are watching a broken man that has melted down as his life's work (Pumping Intel/Bashing ARM) has resulted in utter and uncomprehendable FAILURE.
