Somebody forgot to tell some of the insiders...
I missed this news from last week. I guess they really want to be in South Florida.
PR NewswirePress Release: BB&T Corporation – Tue, Mar 13, 2012 7:30 AM EDT
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., March 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT - News) announced today an amendment to its Nov. 1, 2011, agreement to acquire BankAtlantic, the primary subsidiary of BankAtlantic Bancorp (NYSE: BBX - News). The strategic acquisition of BankAtlantic would expand BB&T's presence in Southeast Florida, through the purchase of $3.3 billion in core low-cost deposits and boost BB&T's market share to No. 6 in the Miami market.
The market has a 4th grade mentality. Today was a mystery and disappointing - never thought EOG would be in the red. Oh well...
I am anticipating $120 - $122 if there are no bad surprises in the earnings. Anything north of $120 is very cool.

** BB&T Corp agreed to buy the life and property and casualty insurance division of Crump Group Inc for $570 million in cash, a deal that will double its wholesale insurance business.
I get the feeling that things are starting to break BBT's way - management and potential of recent acquisitions, deposit growth, good conservative management thru prolonged downturn, etc. However, the macro economic factors still heavily influence how BBT's share price will move, but otherwise BBT is getting some good remarks recently in the business media.
I suppose the German military is in on the fraud too, eh?
“When considering the consequences of peak oil, no everyday experiences and only few historical parallels are at hand. It is therefore difficult to imagine how significant the effects of being gradually deprived of one of our civilization’s most important energy sources will be. Psychological barriers cause indisputable facts to be blanked out and lead to almost instinctively refusing to look into this difficult subject in detail. Peak oil, however, is unavoidable.”
