I noticed this as well, and I believe this is not the first time it has happened. I would like to hear their explanation for removal. If you remember another time they removed articles that showed the benefit of Vascepa, let me know and I will ask for an explanation.

Glad to see you are still here with us longs.

I agree, I think it is very beneficial to have opposing views, yet I want it backed up with proof or reasoning at least. I wish Yahoo allowed links, maybe then people can direct others to their findings.

Did you actually send this to Yahoo? I did message yahoo twice before on another board and they did listen. Now, what can we do about the "underground stock alert" bs

Can anybody explain why Amarin’s management is playing a shell game with all the shares? I admit to not knowing much about corporate finances in regards to how to hide money and evade taxes, however I do not believe Amarin’s management (including bod’s) have not been transparent to the shareholders on any level, ie FDA correspondence, share dilution, exc pay, or any other facet of the business. Their strategies have not been in the interest of their retail or investor shareholders, but that of their own inner circle.
Why did Amarin create a subsidiary (CORSICANTO LIMITED) in Ireland in Jan 2012, to make a deal for the senior notes? Listed directors of Corsicanto are Joe Kennedy, Conor Dalton, and Patrick Sullivan. Who are investors with Corsicanto? I ask because I mistrust this company so much that I believe that is where all Orimed, Sofinnova, and Joe Z all put their shares. Wouldn’t be more lucrative for the insiders to sell (transfer) their shares to Corsicanto or can this be accomplished? Apparently, Sofinnova sold their shares and warrants to OTA (with James Santori as agent) yet Santori was 83 years old and retires from OTA months before the transaction and now is on the board of OTR (supposedly a unrelated company), Again, I wonder if Sofinnova acted in Amarin;s best interest by selling 18m shares and warrants to an option trading house or was this just a level of transfer in a shell game. And why didn’t they mention this on CC, it is the same #$%$ they pulled in the past, making dilution announcements or big sales after the CC.

So I get two thumbs down when asked a serious question. Seriously folks, no basher, bought 5k over a month ago. Not posting much yet bec still trying to sort this all out, however I could not find anything on this company such as their marketing power, sales reps, history of promoting medical devices etc. Would appreciate any information. I seriously can not find their website, if someone can tell me different than I will admit to having a senior moment.

Can anyone shed some light on this company or have a link to their website.

  • cincyreds57 cincyreds57 May 9, 2014 8:15 PM Flag

Maybe when they quit increasing executive and bod pay,
seriously, putting all the other factors aside, I see no point in a company having less than a 500 m market cap and a price share of 1.50 and only having one drug on the market, with eight board of directors and lucrative sign on bonuses. Plus the management can spin it any way they want but they are not on the shareholders side and have not felt any financial pain, If their options are expired, they have been reissued and when the 2011 option plan did not have enough shares, they create more shares ie restricted shares and shares issued outside of the plan for sign on bonuses. In their proxy statement last week the compensation committee claims they where in the 50 percentile of like 15 comparative companies (listed in the proxy) There is no comparison, research any of those companies and compare their pay to the stock price and the pipeline. Amarin needs to start caring about the shareholders, many of whom lost thousands and thousands of dollars to their in competencies and misleading statements.

South, I agree with your statements however I do not think they have anything to be happy about or good news to announce, And Benny I hope you are right. I really hate being a nay-sayer but after the consistent beating we have suffers since Marine approval, I have lost hope. And I truly blame all parties (FDA, media, options players, and management, and even myself) for the loses we shareholders have endured. I might add that as long as there is 1.58 a share up for grabs the bs will continue. Uhmm, who will get the last 1.58--- management (proxy mtg) or shorts.

Cleveland, has been assigned a patent (8,716,324) developed for "tricyclic indeno-pyrrole derivatives as serotonin receptor modulators."

The patent application was filed on June 18, 2012 (13/526,249).

please do search==yahoo deleted my mess-hopefully it will take this abbr. version.

I would not be expecting any news good or bad out this cc. Even if sales were off their new partnership may see a rise. If any thing was happening on the lawsuits, we would have an 8k.

    Hamburg on Epanova

    by cincyreds57 May 6, 2014 2:15 PM
    cincyreds57 cincyreds57 May 6, 2014 2:20 PM Flag

PS I forgot the issue of Epanova's pre-conditioning of patients, the required diet during the preconditioning phase and dose phase, most likely had an effect on the results, however we choose to ignore the benefits cause most americans, including the subject group of white males over 70, diet intermittently and either way the american heart association recommends fish oil only as an adjunct to diet, therefore going forward, diet will be required in all heart clinical trials.

  • cincyreds57 by cincyreds57 May 6, 2014 2:15 PM Flag

    Dear Shareholders of Amarin,

I would like to make a few statements before being accused of "waffling" on the "fish oil" supplements (in my view). First, the issue of olive oil v mineral oil. 1. olive oil produced better results than expected due to the heart benefit of olive oil. 2. the increase of diarrhea (over that of Vascepa) is across all groups therefore a non issue. 3. olive oil is an active ingredient whereas mineral oil is inert, except where we attributed the use to diarrhea, but ignore the higher increase of diarrhea in Epanova. Second issue of demographics. We felt that Vascepa's clinical trial did not represent the population of Americans, however, the fact that Epanova ignored all groups except white males over 70 was a better representation of the high trig groups, ie black Americans are more subject to hypertension, women are disposable in regards to medical research and Asian eat enough fish already. Third issue of new science. I know we used the failure of three proven trials to reject vascepa, however since Epanova was basically only asking for what everyone else got, we seen no reason to deny them a piece of the pie. NCE issue. Epanova will qualify as a new chemical entity and we felt that although per our quidelines of requiring an Adcom for all drugs seeking NCE, we used our discretionary rights under Congress to bypass that law. The increase in LDL and APO3, again was considered a non issue based on the above mentioned trials that fail to prove that ldl or apo3 contributed to heart disease.

Many may feel we slipped the approval of Epanova under the radar, but I can assure you every action was above board and in guidelines of our proven ethical process. We may or may not choose to address your concerns further after I get back from a long needed vacation compliments of AZN.

Thank you for your time and may God Bless you and God Bless America, the land of the free (corruption costs extra and will vary based on market share of sales

Really Nuke!!! I have been in constructions sales, service and rental for over thirty years, spending a great deal of time on job sites. I have also volunteered with drug and alcohol rehabs and food pantries. I can tell you from experience the only time I would hear such filth was from the uneducated guy on the scaffold with little to no teeth and reeking from what ever drugs and/or alcohol he was doing the night before. And most certainly he did not have a proper upbringing, lacks respects for his self and others, and lacks professionalism. And on the few occasions I did witness the vulgarity, the foreman on the job sent them packing. There is no excuse for such language and it is why many stay away for these boards. I know that paid bashers have put their share of fifth on this site, however you have been around for quite some time (assuming a long) which is why your post was surprising. Again, I ask that you simply delete this post so that we may continue to exchange relevant material.

please remove your post--you are too good of a person to drop to their level of filth. The title is offensive and vulgar.
