I'm buying the other 1/2 of my stock this morning, which will put my average cost around $17.5. Might even buy more later when the market corrects.

You just don't get it do you? By the time they meet all your projections, the stock will be $25 and you'll be buying at the top. So amateurish.

Why do you think stocks like this carry a high P/E? Two things can happen when you have a high P/E. The stock can grow earnings to lower the P/E in the future or not. Why do you think investors have bid up this stock over the past year when it was trading around $5 for years? BECAUSE THEY ARE CONFIDENT THIS NEW MANAGEMENT, WITH THEIR TRACK RECORD, WILL GROW THIS STOCK. And they will. These guys are not sitting on their hands and are buying the stock.

Go ahead and wait 2-3 years and buy the stock at the highs then. I invest on the ground floor and have ridden many stocks like this for huge gains. I'll be selling my shares to you at $25.

I agree, but their press release a few days ago said it was ex-d on May 6. I wonder if these guys bought Friday and made a mistake and sold today?

  • cat, I just bought a 1/2 position in ARIA. They release earnings tomorrow and I will add the other 1/2 there. I hope the earnings report is bad so I can buy more cheaper, but will add anyway if stock goes up.

My opinion? Buy on weakness AFTER the earnings report. If it goes up after earnings, it's up to you.

topro, good to see you are still here. I said long ago ACT (WAT) was the way to go here. Do you see any hope with CBRX? I'm planning to sell for tax losses in December and give a take out at $1 about a 5% chance. When they do the reverse split, game is over. The very nature of having to do a reverse split tells it all. Management's last gasp....

So sad. So many expectations here over the years and NADA. Of course, anyone in management here made out like a bandit and some are having a very nice retirement on us.

  • Thanks again Darrell. Man you're good. Keep bashing. I want $75.

Warren Buffet always said it's reprehensible when management prospers and shareholders suffer. Welcome to HLIT.

I wonder if these guys actually think they are worth their compensation package with their non performance or are they just laughing all the way to the bank knowing they don't deserve any of it?

  • citamar citamar May 3, 2013 2:52 PM Flag

ditto. When are these guys going to learn there are other shareholders here besides them?

I can't wait to see what they do May 14, after announcing the dutch tender. I guess they feel they deserve a windfall for doing that. I say they get 100,000 more shares free this time around.

    Reverse Split

OK, I'll bite. No, not short, just totally disgusted how management has destroyed the value here while enriching themselves. I've NEVER seen a reverse stock split work. Maybe it has worked before, but think about it. Would any company do a reverse split UNLESS they were in distress? The very nature of the split is the company is doing bad. So it's "supposed" to keep going down.

I know you are new here, bright eyed and bushy tail. Be careful. There's nothing here. Nada. Go invest in a real company, like GILD, UTHR, ACT, AKAM, DWCH, QCOM, where I have big positions and have been in for awhile, when they were real low!

20 for 1 reverse split. If you own 1000 you'll now have 50 shares. Then the value starts decreasing big time. We are in a death spiral people. It's over here. Management will suck out the last $$$ here.

Hey johnie-come-lately, I've been here for over 20 years and know this stock like the back of my hand. I've been right on with this stock the whole way. The past 4 years, I was warning all the pumpers on here not to fall in love with this stock, it wasn't acting right. They scoffed and attacked me, but I was the ONLY one here that was 100% right!

I will sell this POS in December for tax losses against huge gains I have elsewhere. I've been trading since 1980 (where were you then). I've owned several reverse split stocks. THEY ALWAYS GO DOWN AFTER THE SPLIT, ALWAYS. It's a desperate act by incompetent management and it's sad.

No, I'll will tell you what will happen here and take it to the bank. They reverse split the stock and then it keeps go down until it's $.50 pre-split. THE ONLY HOPE FOR UPSIDE IS A BUYOUT FOR $1. End of story. Watch and learn how to invest!

You have to face the truth to be a good investor. Hope is not an option!

  • yup, just keep bashing. The more you do, the higher we go. I love dummies like Darrell.........

Gilead (GILD): "Is at $52 and it goes to $60 near term (Cramer added that GILD has the best Hepatitis C drug."
Editor's note: There were no bearish calls on Thursday's program

  • citamar by citamar May 3, 2013 9:25 AM Flag

is now just a matter of time now. More destruction of shareholder value. Happens every time. Look for $.50, (pre-split), after the reverse split.

    Sad.

  • If management just turns around and issues themselves zero cost options? You reduce the float through the dutch auction, then it increases again with the free stock to management. Isn't this just buying stock for $5.75 and then giving it to management for free? What am I missing?

Can't wait for May 14 and see how much free stock they get this time. For such a great performance over the past 20 years. Incredible.

Above $1 by summer? What are you smoking?

The ONLY way this POS will trade above $1 is the reverse split. PERIOD!

  • citamar by citamar May 2, 2013 1:04 PM Flag

Let me make a prediction. When volume comes in like this it means someone has learned that news is coming. So they buy the stock hoping it will be positive. Then management announces a reverse stock split and they sell the stock back down (reverse splits are the kiss of death).

It's so predictable it's actually funny.............
