lol yep. now fslr moves on news. the aapl deal pushed it up 15%.
the prob w/ scty is so many ppl got burned on it last year so now no one
wants to buy it in the 60s. instead, everyone buys at 48 and sells at 58. conversely, newer shorts are shorting at 58 and covering at 48. until buyers
step in at 60+ lvls, it's pinned in the range. still getting some good trades though.
i used to work for the public accounting firm that audits scty. if u read their 10k sec filings, u'll see that they use aggressive assumptions in their accounting practices. retained earnings is not an income statement account, it's a balance sheet account reported as part of equity. retained value is essentially a "present value of future cash flow" accounting estimate that assumes 90% of customers will renew their leases once their terms are up. in accounting, to be considered conservative, we would look for an assumption to be nearer to 60-70%.
hey kandunn. well so far, it's holding the 50dma line & is technically oversold on stochastics.
volatility has declined again suggesting it's back to being rangebound for now.
moving up nicely, reclaiming 50 dma & mid keltner area. for anyone that took advantage, resistance
around 60-62ish & earnings next week.
the whole cybersecurity sector was approaching ridiculous territory led by the parabolic move in cybr
which i was short. it got downgraded today. feye is a better value in that sector.
i concur. that would be a bad business move. i don't know that i would sell my
entire aapl position, but i would definitely cut it by a significant amount.
just that quickly right? lol. seen this movie many times before: ipo, cult following w/ volume, everyone calls for higher & higher prices, stock climbs & climbs like it won't stop, then before u know it...........dead as a doornail.
yeah z was just an intraday short for me. i covered rest of cybr this morning on the dip to 58 then it had the audacity to go to 64 so i'm short again. might hold this one til next week, we'll see. options show 65 is a possibility but i'm ok with that.
