I am a bit concerned about the 4.9 yrs average duration of PONDX. Is that the current duration of the fund? Also, should we use the 10 yr Treasury to calculate the impact of the likely increase in interest rate? Using the figures of $12.85#$%$ 1.6% 10 ys rate and $12#$%$ 3.0% drop in 6.5% share price, I get fairly close. Thanks
BP's year end result will exceed expectations similar to its 3rd qtr results. In March BP will report that it will deliver on its 6 point plan of earning `$40b in cashflow. Additionally, it will lay out its longer term strategy which will further underscore BP's come back. To top it all off, we will likely hear great FINDS in the coming 4 to 6 weeks....BP shares will reach $60 in 2014....Happy new year everyone.
I see this boarded consumed about the litigation issues and its impact on BP bottom line. Certainly, there is the matter of $4b vs $18b (simple vs gross negligence), however, even a $18b tab is minor as it relates to BP's long term ability to generate cash. BP's 2014 alone cash delivery is expected to be circa $38b with double digit growth on this beyond 2015. BP will roll out a new long term strategy that will certainly show its ability to monetize its recent Gulf discoveries at 20K pressures. (more finds to come). BP is the leader in this field. So, as much as I recognize the court issues and being real issues, this is a company that is significantly under valued and ready to showcase its ability to deliver for its shareholders. Lastly, as with the Q3/2013 earnings result, I expect BP to beat estimates in Q4/2014 (due out in 2 or so weeks) by a larger margin than Q3. This is clearly a $54 to %57/sh stock by mid Feb. I just forgot, dividends will also be raised again in Q1/2014....get while the getting is good at an yield of near 5%.
I have a feeling that BP will show better underlining results than all other majors. Its outcome is likely to meet expectations with overall earnings beating expectations. I work at BP and it feels as though there is a momentum within the company. People have worked very hard and I hope tomorrow we will build on what was a solid Q3/13 and start making believer out of many out there.
New strategy rolled out with dividend increase and a solid q1 results will put the share in the $53 to $55 range.we are 1/2 way on Q1 and production is ahead of plan and new well delivery is on schedule. Costs are also under control.
