Yep it sure looks like that buyback with borrowed money helped the insiders unload at a sweet price. Now that the suckers know they have been bamboozeled they seem to root even more for this most hated company.I say even now at this reduced price they should divest before the labels and lawsuits plus likely bankruptcy destroy their evil investment entirely.Well I am sure they will hang on and even try catching the falling knife until they are financially ruined.Serves them right!

  • Yikes
Why do they borrow a fortune to buy themselves at a way overvalued price?
Could it be so insiders can sell at a sweet price?
Do not be the last to divest!
    Sell today
    Short today for profit
    declining sales imminent
    labels imminent
    lawsuits imminent
sell sell sell and sleep at night

Donate Today! Defend Your Right to Know!

The multi-billion dollar Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), whose 300-plus members include Monsanto and Dow, Coca-Cola and Kellogg’s, is pulling out all the stops to keep you in the dark about toxic gmo's in your food.

The GMA has sued in U.S. District Court to overturn Vermont’s new GMO labeling law, H.112. And it’s pushing a bill in Congress that would not only overturn every state’s right to enact a GMO labeling law, but also legalize the practice of labeling GMO foods “natural.”

Your donation will help fight the GMA lawsuit in Vermont, and also help win the GMO labeling ballot initiative in Oregon in November and perhaps save what remains of our Democracy from this most evil fascism. Thank you

In 1995 biologist Arpad Pusztai received a grant from the Scottish Agriculture, Environment, and Fisheries Department to develop a model for testing the safety of GM foods. Pusztai studied the effects of a diet of GM potatoes on adolescent laboratory rats. After only ten days on a GM diet, the rats suffered immune system damage, white blood cell suppression, impaired organ development, and other problems. “I had facts that indicated to me that there serious problems with transgenic [GM] food,” says Pusztai.

After Pusztai went public with his findings, the institute that employed him would not permit him to speak further about his research, but a furor had already been unleashed, and he was invited to testify before Parliament, which superseded his contractually obliged silence. Sensational though Pusztai’s revelations were, tehy have never been rigorously followed up. In 2005 Russian scientist Irina Ermakova conducted an experiment on the offspring of female rats, comparing thee groups fed diets of augmented by GM soy, non-GM soy, or no soy at all, beginning two weeks before conception and continuing through nursing. Within three weeks of birth, 56 of the rats born in the GM soy group died, compared to 9 percent in the non-GM soy group and 7 percent from the no-soy group. But then Ermakova’s funding ran out, and she has not been able to perform detailed organ analysis or to repeat her experiment to confirm the results.

“Those familiar with the body of GM safety studies are often astounded by the superficiality,” reports Smith. With universities and research institutes increasingly dependent on corporate dollars, dissenting views are easily silenced by withdrawing funding. Research on GM food safety simply isn’t happening, except under direct corporate sponsorship, which comes with strings attached. “When you have so many scientists … doing sponsored research, you start to wonder, ” says Mildred Cho, a senior research scholar at Stanford University’s Ce

Dr. Belinda Martineau is a former member of the Michelmore Lab at the University of California Davis Genome Center, where she worked on the technology for the first GM-whole food. Now, however, she isn’t so sure.

In backing the statement against GMO safety, Dr. Martineau wrote:

“I wholeheartedly support this thorough, thoughtful and professional statement describing the lack of scientific consensus on the safety of genetically engineered (GM) crops and other GM organisms (also referred to as GMOs). Society’s debate over how best to utilize the powerful technology of genetic engineering is clearly not over. For its supporters to assume it is, is little more than wishful thinking.”

Martineau isn’t alone. Numerous other esteemed scientists have stepped forward to voice their concerns with GM technology. While companies behind genetically-modified foods would have you believe there is nothing to worry about and that all GMOs are risk-free, positive additions to the food system, they simply aren’t telling the truth.
Over 800 Scientists Demand Global ‘GMO Experiment’ End

Scientists who add their name to the statement agree:

“We feel compelled to issue this statement because the claimed consensus on GMO safety does not exist. The claim that it does exist is misleading and misrepresents the currently available scientific evidence and the broad diversity of opinion among scientists on this issue. Moreover, the claim encourages a climate of complacency that could lead to a lack of regulatory and scientific rigour and appropriate caution, potentially endangering the health of humans, animals, and the environment.”

These scientists object to the GMO machine’s allegations that there is a consensus in the scientific community about the safety of these foods. No such consensus exists. Many scientists oppose such language because it misleads the public into thinking no risks exist when there simply isn’t enough information to call GM foods safe, and there is

Monsanto and other biotech companies claim genetically modified (GM) crops have no impact on the environment and are perfectly safe to eat.

Federal departments in charge of food safety in the US and Canada have not conducted tests to affirm this alleged “safety,” but rather have taken the industry-conducted research at face value, allowing millions of acres of GM crops to overtake farmland.

These foods, largely in the form of GM corn and soy (although there are other GM crops, too, like sugar beets, papaya and crookneck squash), can now be found in the majority of processed foods in the US.

In other words, if you eat processed foods, you’re already eating them… and these crops are already being freely planted in the environment. But what if it turns out that Monsanto was wrong, and the GM crops aren’t actually safe…

This is precisely what a number of scientists have been warning of for years, and the latest to sound the alarm is Dr. Mae-Wan Ho of the Institute for Science in Society, who has concluded that, by their very nature, there is no way GMOs (genetically modified organisms) can be safe.

The Greatest Danger of Genetic Modification

According to Dr. Mae-Wan Ho, genetic modification interferes fundamentally with the natural genetic modifications that organisms undergo in order to survive. Under natural circumstances, this is done in real time as “an exquisitely precise molecular dance of life.”

Genetic engineering, which assumes that one protein determines one particular trait, such as herbicide tolerance or insect resistance, and can easily be swapped out with another, with no other effects, is dangerously simplistic or, as Dr. Mae-Wan Ho says, “an illusion.”

An organism’s genome is not static but fluid, and its biological functions are interconnected with its environment and vice versa, such that trying to control genetic changes via artificial modification is a dangerous game. Dr. Ho explained:

    “The rationale

I am old enough to remember when DDT and asbestos were also declared safe and Monsanto actually advertised ddt as being good for you and me!

Monsanto is guilty of murder, assault, negligence, reckless endangerment and more. Their history is one full of atrocities and crimes against man and nature. See if you or I could get away with that and still be walking around free. It’ll never happen. We would be under the jail never to be seen again.

Monsanto gave us Agent Orange, INSISTED it was safe but they lied, and as a result we sprayed over 77 million liters of it in South Vietnam! How can we trust what they say about GMO foods, or any of their products?

For Monsanto’s “Agent Orange” alone the company should be shut down. All the employees involved in making it should be arrested and tried for war crimes. We don’t allow other nations to use WMDs like nerve and chemical agents so neither should we. SHUT DOWN MONSANTO NOW!
