While advocates offer reason, facts, industry references, and rarely any personal attacks even when stating rebuttal to a basher. Just an observation. 71 degrees, sunshine, and a 3:07 tee time. Life is good!
Wish I had your balls. Well I do actually but my wife tends to squeeze when I get too aggressive for her comfort. :-) Think I might however grab another 1000 on this pullback and call it my trading position. I used to do that a lot with PANL and some others but have been sitting on my core for a couple years now not wanting to miss the big run up I'm confident is coming. When I retire I plan to trade a lot more and hope to apply similar tools and strategies that you, Andy, YPANL, and others seem to have mastered. Don't let the thumbs bug you. I enjoy your posts and "if you done it, it ain't bragging" -Walt Whitman
No. I like the current trend line and would love to see it continue well past Q3 earnings. I trade but not with the intensity or conviction of panelized. I'm holding my long position and feeling pretty good about it. Having said that, if I were new here I'd be buying big right now. We will be in the 40's very soon and then the fun really starts.
This speaks for itself and any negativity posted by solardac/freegrass or anyone else is irrelevant subterfuge. The future is OLED and the future is finally NOW.
Ditto on thanks to Cooters for the recaps!! Kind of jealous of your trading prowess panelized but appreciate your commentary. I've been in UDC for 10 years and have only traded twice when the gain was too substantial to pass up. Holding my 3K core for the long term but recent history has me wishing I was playing a trading position as well.
I was thinking about this as well, and best I can determine "Retina display" is simply a trade marked brand name used by Apple with some disputable references to pixel density. There's no defined underlying technology associated with the name hence Apple could be using microscopic cathode ray tubes in the iWatch and still call it a Retina display. (or in this case, OLED) Personally, I just see iWatch as a fun diversion as we watch the much more impactful emergence of OLED TV, then lighting and so, so many more cool applications coming down the road. Countdown is over and engines are lit. Houston we have liftoff!
I never typically recommend stocks to friends but last Saturday I told a buddy that OLED might be the one that lets me retire early. Just talk but he noted it in his phone. Hope he bought before today or he's going to want me to buy all the drinks the next time we take a family cruise together. Did we really just blow through 38?? Wow.
Excellent idea! Have a poster highlighting the key technical advantages and enhanced performance benefits of OLED vs LCD/LED next to the Display! As you said, put an LCD model right next to it so shoppers will not only SEE the difference they will understand WHY and start talking. Can't wait to start hearing people say their next TV will be an OLED! Wish you and all longs a great Labor Day too! Exciting times indeed!
Thank you for posting the article link Danny! Favorite quote: ...OLED is so, so, so much better than LCD. The inevitable is now imminent.
Thanks for exposing the fraud troll. Errr guess he kind of self identified himself with the name. Liked the way Danny called him out too. His posts are a joke to anyone with a basic understanding of technology and production cycles.
Thanks. I've always considered this a useful tip sheet worthy of further research. I'm sure a lot of investors do so it's great that OLED made the list. Many of the companies listed seem to be nearing the top of their growth curve or face major risk or disruption. Nothing wrong with that, just reality that you have to factor in when considering whether to invest. I know I'm biased but OLED on the other hand sits near the beginning of the adoption curve with limited risk relative to potential growth. The question isn't IF growth will continue, it's how much and how fast.
That is one of the top 10 coolest future products I've ever seen! Another obvious first application for this would be entertainment. I could see an entire amusement park inside a warehouse or the most awesome virtual reality kiosk anyone has ever experienced inside the mall. Thanks for sharing the fun.
