Going forward, retail sales came in ahead estimates today
Black Friday sales were up 30% over last year maybe it's easier to buy online instead of getting stampeded at a WALMART
Also, there was a government shutdown that may have stopped a lot of commerce.
The consumer and economy are not in great shape but it's not as bad as you would like to lead people to believe

if you take the time to add up the number of shares that are sold in a quarter vs. the number of shares that are purchased by Visa Inc.(buy back) I think you will see that Visa buy back is MUCH larger than the number of shares sold by insiders. One reason a company buys it's own stock is it thinks it is a good investment.
FYI A lot of short sellers post this insider sell info to rattle people which is why you got the responses you did

The stock is not going to "SLIDE" that low, there is no reason for.
The uncertainty with the fed law suit is why you think you can buy it $170.00 and for that reason you may be correct.
There may be another sell off (which like the first was uncalled for and over done) you can capitalize on.
If it gets there it will happen a 2 or 3 days no sliding.
If you look on Bloomberg you will find that V has a PE 26.05 TTM and a current PE of 22.2
MA has a PE of 28.7 TTM and a current PE of 27.62
YAHOO has it wrong. I think it's because the share count is incorrect.(key stats)
